I'm leaving you a message for the Earth Day Profile Comment Swap. I'm planning to compost, and am looking forward to doing that. I've been cleaning, and organizing my home, and plan to donate all the things that aren't needed. I have plans to have a garden, and can't wait to get started with that. I hope you're having a wonderful week, and have a wonderful weekend.
Glad you like the Tarot makeover. It was a new way of quilting for me. I added the tombstone with the key after seeing that you like ancient keys, though this one was just a charm. Hope it makes you smile
i get this incredible urge to simplify in the springtime. i think it's just the move from indoor-living (wool, fireplace, rich foods) to outside-living (which means dirt and seeds for us) nothing beats opening up all the windows, letting the sun in, and the breeze blow out stale winter air.
i just finished up this a batch of this peaceful, dreamy blend of carpet powder, which i sprinkle on my rugs and things before i vacuum. ingredients: baking soda // lavender // chamomile // bits of rose & jasmine // apple mint // sage //
you can add & remove herbs as you fancy.
and, while i love to make my own cleaners, i'm a little bit i love with thieves (i buy the concentrate, and it lasts forever)
When I discovered this site, it was just what I could do. She says we can set a timer for 15 minutes and only clean that long. She breaks the housework into zones and gives suggestions for each day's 15 minute task. I did it for some time and a lot of the ideas she has became a habit. You have to incorporate your own cleaning products and most of the time I use a vinegar with herb base. I clean as natural as I can and very rarely use chemicals. It is flylady.net if you are interested.
