About Me

I am a married, stay at home mom of 3 amazing little boys (4, 3 and 1)

We had to say goodbye to two of our babies in 2010 (a boy in May and a girl in November)

I will always be a mom of 5, even if not all of our children are living.

Favorite Music

I grew up listening to the 80's hair bands.

I like rock, heavy metal and some country.

Favorite Books

I am a huge fan of Sue Grafton, and Lewis Carrol.

Favorite Movies

The Notebook, Dear John...

I like a good romantic comedy

Tron, Fast and Furious, Star Wars, Star Trek....

I like a little of everything.

Favorite Crafts

I enjoy crochet, painting, decoupage, cooking, gardening, canning and bread making.

I am a self proclaimed Chicken Addict! I started off with 3 spring of 2012 and now I have 15 (we call it chicken math) :)

I am teaching myself to knit, and I dabble into sewing some but haven't had much time to devote to it yet.

I enjoy watching Survivor, Bones, House, Pretty Little Liars, NCIS-I dabble :)

Things I like...

I love antiques. I see a pie safe in my future :D

I am huge into western/country decor.

My favorite color changes daily although I am quite fond of black and turqoise. There are not many colors I dont like....I think I would say that puke green is in my category of dislikes lol

I love food! Chocolate, Rice, Black Olives, Soups, Stews, Sushi....all favorites. I am not a fan of Anchovies (unless they are in my Cesar dressing), but I do love oysters!!!

My favorite flower : Gerber Daisies!!! (especially the bright purple or pink ones) Also in love with Sunflowers

I have a HUGE obsession with owls. I have been crocheting owl hats lately, they are a BIG hit, and my boys always get complements on theirs.

I am on a cotton yarn kick.

I love YARN!

Fabric paints, powdered tempera paints and metallics :)

I LOVE scrap-booking for our boys! I keep records and mementos of everything that they do.

I love to try new things!!!!...my current 'new' thing i will b trying is crocheting 'food' items for my son who loves to 'cook'....he is going to make a great husband someday lol :-)

A little about our home...

We are fairly new to Colorado and we live in a REALLY amazing passive solar berm house out in Elizabeth. We have 20 acres of pasture, barn and FUN!!!! I am a country girl through and through

Comment: love the dandelion & little boy! my best advice is to shoot shoot shoot-when i took photograqphy in college, the one thing i remember learning was the stat that it takes shooting about 80 pix to get one good one! Easier now with digital bc you can immediately see it & decide if you like it or there is a better image you could capture! thanks for sharing! happy swapping & shooting! :)

Response: I do apologize for the delay! Our move from Michigan to Colorado proved to shake our lives up more than expected. I am bummed that I had a couple swaps go out late. I am really glad you liked them, I did have a hard time getting them to work up correctly. ;) Thanks for rating!

I love food as well! In fact, i'm a foodie and a baker. One of my friends is enrolled in Le Cordon Blu school of culinary arts. I would like to attend there to enhance my baking skills. I wish that I knew how to crochet, but i sew, and have been sewing since I was 5.

I am sorry to read about your 2 babies. But you have 2 . :) That's a great thing ! And its so sweet of you to keep a scrapbook for your boys and keep records of what they do . My parents said they started making a scrapbook for me.. but I ripped the pages and ate some of it, when I was 2 !! :O :O I wonder if I was that hungry !! hahaha Seems like I was a naughty stubborn girl , eh ? hahaha

Anyway, I am chocoholic too ! Its just that now I am not eating them because I am getting fat and now I must look like a balloon that is about to burst ! I am working on losing some weight these days . lol And rice ! We eat it loads here , for 2 meals aday !! :o ! ;D

Uh.. owls ? really ? that's odd.. But very unique .. Its good to have something so unique.
