About Me

Hello from Germany! I am a wife, mother and newly grandmother. Since 2015 I have been retired. I love the sea, especially the rough charm of the North Sea. My favorite seasons are autumn/winter and Christmas time with its joyful spirit.

Hobbies and Interests

  • Photography: Architecture, landscapes, lightmoods, reflections and close-ups belong to my favorite photo themes.

  • Books: Especially murder mystery and crime novels. Favorite authors among others: Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Mary Higgins Clark, Donna Leon, Charlotte Link.

  • Film/TV: Midsomer Murders/Inspector Barnaby, Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot, Death in Paradise, Sherlock Holmes (the old series).

  • Postcards, all kinds. My favorite subjects include: Map cards, city views, trams, typical houses of your country, shop windows, books and bookstores, libraries, lighthouses, post offices and mailboxes, snow and snowmen, hats, rain and umbrellas. I love Snoopy, Pettersson and Findus, penguins, Atelier Nouvelles Images, The New Yorker, art cards, illustrations ..... and surprises!

  • Seasonal cards, especially for Christmas (postcards and folded cards). All Christmas themes are welcome. A Christmas stamp on the card or envelope would be great, too. Oh, and I enjoy Christmas markets.

  • Halloween cards (postcards and foldes cards). I enjoy watching spooky movies on Halloween evening.

  • Anything related to writing and paper crafting: Various papers, pens and inks, stickers/clear stickers, rubber stamps/acrylic stamps, washi tapes and so much more ... you name it.

  • Mail art, handmade envelopes, handwritten letters.

  • Anything related to airmail, envelopes, labels, stamps.

  • ATCs: I came to know them here on Swap-bot.

  • Quotes / words of wisdom.

Comment: Ooohh, you made me so happy with your Berlin envelope which arrived yesterday. I love the sculpture with the Quadriga bears. I had to search a lot to find them. The glass building on the background... I was confused. Last time I visited the city was October 2016. I love to come back as soon as possible! And thanks for my birthday wishes. So thoughtful!
