10/6/26: friends, I am taking a hiatus once I've finished sending out all cards for swaps I'm signed up for now! I am trying to coordinate with owners of traveling swaps to make sure the cards I have stay in rotation. Lots of love!
10/1/26: ok so the latest site glitch is that all my profile text just disappeared?? I promise I am real and I had a really long profile that just suddenly disappeared. Ugh. I think I am finally giving up on this website since the bugs make it basically unusable for me. I still send a lot of mail on Postcrossing and Random Acts of Cards, as well as some other subreddits and Facebook groups. I've added my profile links above so please connect with me there if you want to stay in touch! You can also always email me directly at [email protected] or just send me mail if you have my address. Always happy to be penpals or friends :) thanks for all the wonderful mail and memories!
My Swap-bot profile was much better and more filled out, but for posterity here's a copy of my Postcrossing profile:
Hello! I am Natalie, an engineer living in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I'm in my late 20s and live with my fiancé and two cats. I love traveling and learning about different cultures; I think life is boring if one never learns about how other people live! I especially love cooking and trying new foods and recipes, and I would love to know your favorite one. I am passionate about volunteering and hope to make the world a better place. In my free time, I like to take walks and exercise, engage in the arts, and read books. I love receiving book recommendations! I love to have a project to work on and currently I spend a lot of time planning my upcoming wedding.
I read and write English and French, and I am learning Mandarin Chinese (traditional characters) -- I can also read some Spanish, Italian, and Greek. But feel free to write in any language you speak and I will use technology and friends to translate! I'm very lucky to live and work in a multicultural community with lots of different languages spoken around me.
Please feel free to choose any card to send to me! I am open to receiving handmade cards, upcycled cards, meetup cards, maxicards, oversized or die-cut cards, basically whatever you want! Envelope, no envelope, fun stamps, boring stamps, decorations, plain card, I love it all and I am not picky. Mail is so expensive and I really just appreciate you paying postage to send me something! :) I do my best to register cards quickly and be considerate and kind to everyone here. You are always welcome to send me a message if there are any issues, or if you just want to say hi!
