Greetings from me to you :)
Well, I suppose you are now running away from me because I'm a newbie, ha! I'm not new to sending happy mail, oh no. I worked as an engineer in Hamburg, Germany for many years and loved sending letters and postcards back to friends and family in the US, sometimes including German gifts and treats in my happy mail packages. It's been a while since I've sent some happy mail, so I found this site.
People call me Sernie and I live in the Midwest, USA - a place known for cows and cheese. I don't live on a farm or near cows ha, but I enjoy the quietness and the peacefulness - oh the perks of living in a rural area. I work as a full-time engineer at a manufacturing firm. When I’m not working, I enjoy sending letters and living an active lifestyle. That means, I enjoy hiking, running marathons and cycling. My poochie is my motivation to get up and go out for a walk, preferably in the morning because I love smelling the fresh morning dew.
Well, I hope to add more to my profile as I learn more about this site. My goal is to hopefully "create" rather than "collect stuff for the sake of collecting stuff"
JOURNALING (I have a Fitness Track Journal for my mental health. On the creative side, I do Art Journaling and Magpie Journals.)
For the life of me, I have no idea how to knit, sew or crochet....
This section is still a work in progress as I haven't actually joined an official physical swap yet.
Sending and receiving international snail mail- it has always been a fascination of mines learning the way people live differently in different countries. Definitely missed it when I lived abroad.
Decorated Mail art in any medium, but I prefer envelopes that are decorated in gelli prints, collaged artistically, and drawing
Ephemera - People don't know what that is, but I'm talking about anything to use for JOURNAL COLLAGING. Label cards, rubber stamped images, ticket stubs, book pages in different languages, untattered global postage stamps (floral, botanical, animals)
Pretty papers (handmade/fine papers) very different from scrapbook papers*
Non-touristy postcards in good condition - I love Art illustration types of postcards rather than real life images? Is that weird?
Favorite themes: Woodland, Galaxy, Soft Vintage
Interested in learning about your fitness routine/self care routine :)
*Vintage angel with those big eyeballs/Victorian
Washi tape samples (unless it's a full roll)
Nope nope, please don't send me sewing stuff/fabrics
Food/snacks in swaps
Planner stickers, washi stickers?
Postage due, yikes!
Random bits of scrapbook papers or any random bits of papers in general (loose memo sheets, notecard without an envelope)
For sure, I appreciate all things sent to me, but please consider not sending my dislikes, more than likely it'll just end up in the trash.
