Hello. I'm Dee.
Canadian wordsmith, female. Fluent in English. Art history minor. Huge fan of science and psychology. Bookworm open to book suggestions. Tea fiend.
Allergic to cats and dogs so please be mindful of the fur when you mail me something. Thank you in advance.
I had a personal project to handwrite 5,000 letters, no deadline. And I wrote the last letter of that project in Dec 2019. Took me 10.5 years to complete it.
Still writing snail mail but not tracking the recipients in my agenda anymore.
I tried to write a Thank You card each day February 2020 for #InCoWriMo. It wasn't so bad. I only missed three days in total and made it up each time the next day by sending two thanks instead of one. I feel thankful for many different people.
Curious about people and places abroad. When I travel, I enjoy talking to locals, visiting museums, and people-watching in coffee shops. I read the community newspaper to see what matters to those who live there.
In our world today, a lot is happening and draining both your mental and emotional reserves. Sometimes, you forget your own achievements and the good that is happening around you.
If you aren't sure what to write to me but want to write something, then the question I ask you is this:
What three things went well today?
Focus on what matters to you.
Swap for the love of swapping, not ratings, hearts, or comments. If you wish to send extras, that's at your discretion.
Will be taking 2-week break from hosting swaps after October 25. If you loved any particular swap I hosted or feel inspired by them, I encourage you to host any similar or "copycat" swaps.
A couple of my swaps were inspired by swappers who stopped hosting specific series of swaps. (Which is totally AOK. It's human to need and give ourselves breaks.)
We can absolutely share the work and responsibility of hosting so everyone can continue to enjoy swapping. =)

Thank you for the note, shaped postcards, washi and address labels. I am glad that you really liked the food washi that I sent you in the WTL-Food washi swap.
Thank you so much for your CHARMING note. The envelope out of paper was so delicate and lovely, it was hard to open! Thank you so much for your sweet note and goodies. It's absolutely lovely to swap mail with you!
Hi Dee! Thank you for the kind post card. I'm really sorry I forgot to put the swap name on Tea For Two #3. That's usually the very first thing I do when starting on a letter, so my mind must have been somewhere else in the moment. I hope you are enjoying the tea and having a very lovely autumn.
Thank you for the fun thank you postcard that I received today. I am glad that you can use the stickers I sent you. Your card made me smile as all the rest of the mail today was junk. I am doing good here. Thursday I get my covid booster shot. Glad that I will have them all before the holidays. Have a great day and stay safe and well.
Thank you so much for the note you sent after tge tea for two: yum swaps. And thank you also for hosting them. What a fun set of swaps.
Hello! Thank you so much for sending me a letter after the WTL: sender’s choice-swap ❤️ That was really nice of you!
Hi Dee, thank you for writing back from the washi scavenger hunt swap! Getting any mails always brighten my day, and this was a very hear-warming one. The bread washi tape made me laugh, and ocean floor one is gorgeous! The teas you sent are new to me, and I look forward to trying them :)
Dear Dee, I received your thank you postcard for the Bee ATC! It is pretty fun-filled with all the message, stickers and stamps, especially the one with your very nice pic. It really brightens my day! ...I did not do much during the past weekend to treat myself. Well, I bought some new fabric to make new clothes I wear when I stay home, just simple and comfortable ones. I don't make them by myself though. I leave them at a dressmaker in my neighborhood. Thank you again! :)
Thank you so much for the thank you/note card!! I loved everything and getting to read your note!! I look forward to responding!
Thank you for the lovely postcard! I'm happy to know that the mini envelopes are getting some use. I love making them! My family is starting to decorate for Christmas, so we're all getting into the festive spirit. It's my favorite time of year <3
