I would love to receive a few Friendship Books. It's been forever since any have passed through my hands and I've always found them fascinating.
About my "1"
As of 7/11/2014, it should have been received by now, but the recipient has not logged on since 5/7. As you will see, the rating for the other partner on this swap has been changed to a "3". Thank you!!!
I'm married and have a teenage son. (August, 2000) My son and I are very active in Scouts and love the outdoors. I am a Master Gardener, but like a lot of thing I know the theory and the how-to, but don't necessarily put it into practice in my own garden. When I do get a good harvest, I like to can and preserve. I like writing letters, swapping, almost any papercraft, cooking, baking, Tae Kwon Do, and ballroom/swing dancing. I also like to read when I have time. I'm finding more and more that I don't have time to do many of the fun things I like, so another "hobby" I have is trying to get organized and manage my time better. I am a licensed amateur radio operator. I am a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Daughters of the American Revolution, Troop Committee for Boy Scout Troop 634, and a few other affiliations that I can't htink of right now. In college, I was a member of Phi Mu. I am currently on a very restrictive diet/get healthy plan, try to walk/run. lift weights, and keep bees, which has nothing to do with the other three. I have Reynaud's, Sjogrens, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis and peripheral neuropothy, but that DOES NOT slow me down. Oh, and I've also been called as a Rosary maker.
I will listen to almost any music. Never been really big on heavy metal or country, though.
Self Help, organizing, history of food, cookbooks (organizations, clean eating, healthy eating), suspense, mystery, outdoorsy, gardening...almost anything!
Because I am the Mother of a teen, I have found myself reading a lot of Young Adult fiction, as well. I like JK Rowling, Suzanne Collins, Margaret Peterson Haddix, Mike Lupica... I tend to read the books either along with Gus, or right before or right after he reads them! :-)
Light romance/comedy. Some action. Kids movies...
The Food Network. For individual shows, I like The Amazing Race, Hoarders, Chopped, House, Psych, Royal Pains, and in season, Cincinnati Reds Baseball!
LOVE Scrapbooking, cardmaking, origami, beading, sewing. I will try anything once, and if I like it, I'll try it again! And I have become totally addicted to SMASHing stuff! Gus even has two SMASH books, although it is difficulty to find brand name SMASH stuff suitable for a boy. I LOVE my Filofaxes (I have two A5s and a pocket), too. They're pretty, fun, and keep me organized! Well, sorta organized, anyway.
Since a lot of the swaps I think look interesting are for postcards, I thought I should list some of my favorites...
I think it would be cool to get a card from every UNESCO sight. Thats a lot of cards!
I'd also like to get a map card of every state and a card with the State Capital Building from every state.
Otherwise, I like recipe cards, landmarks, scenic views, lighthouses, historic buildings, art, sunsets, animals, etc. I'm not big on cartoony or "novelty" cards, though.
I like my cards stamped and mailed as a postcard. Sometimes the stamp is the most interesting part!
Things I would LOVE to receive include (but are not limited to...) --
Glass sead beads
Unusual glass/ceramic/fimo beads in sets of 6
Hand made soap
Brads and eyelets for papercrafts

No way! Someone else collects "fruit stickers"!! How do you display them? I stick mine on a piece of cardstock and put them in a 3-ring binder. I try to keep them organized according to fruit. Everyone thinks I'm crazy--actually I think I am too (but I don't think you are :).
