About Me

Hi I'm Kim! I'm logging back on to swap-bot after a few years absence! I'm from England but live in El Salvador where my husband is from. We have three children together. I love to travel, watch lots of tv shows and movies. I'm an online English teacher and also an author.

Favorite Music

Mainly I like to listen to rock music but I have a wide variety of tastes. I listen a lot of radio or music on TV so that's usually a lot of recent hits.

Favorite Books

I try to read different types of books instead of fitting myself into one category but I always read adult literature. My favourite authors are Jodi Picoult and Nicholas Sparks.

Favorite Movies

I absolutely love a good comedy, if something makes me laugh and keeps the mood light I'm pretty happy with it. My husband enjoys thrillers so we watch a lot of that type of movie too.

Favorite Television

I love watching tv. Watch a lot of different shows, from Grey's to American Horror Story to British soap operas and everything in between.

Hobbies

As a full time Mum I don't get a lot of me time in between so I do a lot of things that fit in between. I love taking lots of pictures to look back on later and talking about my past travels.

My family

I met my husband on the internet and after speaking for six months I came over from England to El Salvador in 2010 to meet him and stayed. We are now married with three children. We got married in November 2012.

Our children: We have three children ages 10, 8 and 6 who are bilingual English and Spanish (they prefer speaking English)

Likes and dislikes

I like: - Tattoo's - Colourful things - Drawings - Handmade things - Decorative envelopes - Sweets/Chocolates - Ribbons - Clippings, tickets - Notes - Pens - Stickers - Fridge magnets - Bookmarks - Disney - Tatty teddy (me to you bears) - My favourite colours are sky blue and black - Flowers (my favourite is a red Rose)

I dislike: - Tea/coffee (I don't drink any hot drinks) - Nuts - Pink - Make up - Religious items - People that just give a rating and don't say anything about what you sent or even thank you

Travel

I love to travel! I've visited many countries over the years.

  • England, El Salvador, Panama, Japan, Dominican Republic, Belize, Guatemala, Spain, Amsterdam, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Turkey and Nicaragua

Comment: Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Life of Pi as an audiobook, Kim. I usually enjoy reading books that have movie adaptations, too, but usually I do the movie first and then the book, simply because the movie is "quicker" to come in front of me. :-) But I have to say, I will probably never read Life of Pi. It wasn't "in my wheelhouse" before (the movie was pretty good, though!) and your review leaves me thinking that I probably wouldn't enjoy the book very much. So thank you! :-) Again, thank you so much for sharing!

Comment: Your children are so beautiful I also have 2 daughters ( 34 and 29 ) and a son in the middle ( 32) When I saw yours they minded me mine at that age .How happy and proud they look when they finished the puzzles !!
