I'm a South African (38) living now for 15 years in The Netherlands (Holland). Married to a special man with our 3 sweet little girls (age 12,10,4) Dogs: Maltese and a Boerboel, Chickens:4 Cochins and 5 Ouessant (mini) sheep.

Favorite Crafts

I love crocheting(bags,toys,flowers,with zpagetti yarn as well!), sewing (bags, girl's clothes,felt items,softies,dotee's etc) and painting with: oil paint, textile paint and Acryl paint (mixed media too) ;-)

I've done jewelry making but that's on the back burner at the moment but I still have heaps of beads and do use them for other crafts like...dotee's!! I do make hello kitty necklaces and keychains for all the girls and girl parties my kiddies go to. Confession: it is actually me that LIKE Hello Kitty lol!

well I just love fabric and colour, zakka and cute but black and white is also a fav, buttons, ribbons and all things scrapbooking (especially vintage:At the moment I'm in the distress ink) and Acrylic/clear stamps

it is obvious that I've fallen in love with mixed media art ♥

I do like

Animals,ladybugs,horses,cats,sheep colour, Cute Japanese fabrics, deco tape(can't have enough) buttons, ric rac, ribbons, bold prints, contrasts, Scandinavian prints, yarn, fabrics: canvas & cotton,kawai,woodland creatures,my melody,hello kitty,monchichi,(Flaps/kiki/chic-a-boo),pochacco, cherries, apples, strawberries (you get the picture?)CUPCAKES (brooches,stickers,tape,ribbon,etc etc)! yarn, quotes/scripture! Cute Key rings. Amirugumi, Acryli stamps,ink pads. If they still do the job, I don't mind used stamps

I'd rather not receive

Tea,themes with halloween, sculls , African masks, baby prints and polyester fabrics,, chocolates, make-up and I'm not really what you call a yellow person ;-) Also I wouldn't want any pastel yarn like in baby colours (except of course off white's)

room colours

kitchen: delft blue,red/light blue/ with white spots and red check

sitting room: african colours (browns/earth colours)

my room: cream,wood

bathroom: blue

2nd toilet: off white/antique/dirty pink

girl 1: green and blue(nature fun) girl 2: pink and purple (baroc)

I want swapping to be fun so I do it responsibly :) I've been at the receiving end of flakers and it is pretty sad to be in that spot. If for any reason it gets lost in the post please mail me before rating. I assemble the packages with care and fun and make sure I'd like to receive it too! Je mailde mij pas twee dagen later dan de dag waarop de swap verzonden zou moeten zijn, dat je laat bent met het versturen. Response: Well my first 3 in 52 swaps. The sent date was on a Saturday, unfortunately a long weekend and a family with 2 small kids stayed over at our house. The whole swap didn't get to the post. Couldn't post the Sunday.The Monday I mailed the swapper that I will post it the next day cause the Monday was a national holiday. She got her package the Wednesday instead of the Tuesday...awesome for an international swap. I got a 3 cause I mailed her "too late".I did appologise for sending late as I always do my very best with the swaps. I find it an major case of nitpicking. We live 30min apart. I shoudl've drove to her and posted it in her postbox on hind sight. As ironic as life can be I still don't have my swap from overseas from my partner and that is after 4 weeks.

The bird ribbon is gorgeous and my daughter (who loves frogs) wants a pouch from the frog fabric! I love the tags and postcards and stickers and stamps! Thanks for everything!

Wow,Monique,wat woon je prachtig!Echt een plek waar ik me meteen thuis zou voelen!Ik zie zo voor me hoe je achter je naaimachinetje zit en al die vrolijke kleurrijke spullen maakt,daar voor je keukenraam.Ik ben erg onder de indruk van je gehaakte sieraden:verkoop je die ook? ik ben hier voor lees mijn profiel en plaats een commentaar wat ben jij een mooi mens! die mooi en vol overgaven in het leven staat. heerlijk om dit telezen. we hebben een paar dingen gemeen . ik ben van het ene kant van het land naar het andere verhuist. en daar alles achter gelaten om een nieuwe start te maken in mijn leven. omdat daar veel dingen in mijn leven is gebeurd .dus eigenlijk ook een kleine emigratie niet zo een grote als jij maar moet ook nieuwe mensen .leren kennen en alles is toch anders dan waar ik vandaan kwam je maakt sieraden al dan niet op een laag pittje. ik maak ook sieraden .jij geloofd in god ik ook.
