I absolutely love the ATC you made me for the "Make an ATC for my favourite theme" Tag! The photo is fantastic; the stitching and embellishments set it off beautifully. Thank you so much!
I also received my paper hat in good time, but neglected to let you know (I think...!) It arrived in excellent shape, and is a happy part of my mail art collection...Again, many thanks!
Hi TR,
There is not a cheese that is "native" to Alaska as there were no domesticated animals to milk. However there is an "Eskimo Ice Cream" which is made from seal oil (lard or Crisco now) and wild berries. Our octopi enjoy clams and sea urchins, the most, as evidenced by the shells that decorate the space around their lairs. They have skates (large and small) as well as halibut for neighbors. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
I'm glad you liked the mini book and that it sparked some creativity for you. It was meant to be the fist in a series I was going to make, but then life started happening on overtime (: I can't wait to see your proof!
Thank you for the gorgeous hand-painted Baba Yaga currency (from ZMACS PIF tag)! Love the clever idea of the envelopes slotting inside each other in matryoshka style. :) Wonderful stuff!
Love the winged hat!! It held up well but was a little tough to "refold" with the packing tape. Maybe send inside one of those clear cellophane envelope thingies?
The hat arrived! It was magnificent. The "open here" markings wore off a bit (but not so bad I couldn't figure it out). The hat itself was perfect (: I loved your rendition of Jeb the t-rex. The whole thing made my day. I will be cooking some sort of strange thing to mail you, possibly I'll have to try my hand at a hat too.
