Never sure what to say here...so I will start with the basics:

I'm 22. A senior at UCSD graduating in June with a degree in Cognitive Science with specialization in Neuroscience and a minor in social issues (with an emphasis in health care). I plan on applying to grad school for next fall. Until then, I work at the National Center for Microscopy and Imaging studying gap junctions. If I was not a biologist, I would be a designer (no question). I also love to volunteer, my "current project" is making care packages and organizing large scale fund raisers to pay for college tution and other supplies for homeless high school students.

Lastly, I used to live in Cairo (just got back in the Fall) and spent some time visiting the Middle East and Northern Africa. I would love to visit Asia (ESP JAPAN!!) and the Netherlands next.

Things I like/LOVE:

Living in La Jolla (I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! the beach), sunsets, Japanese stuff (I want a DAISO in SD!), BENTO supplies, Kawaii, the color purple and other bold colors (and pink :) ), clean simple lines, things that match!!, coffee and coffee shops, receiving mail just cause, fresh cut flowers, making things outta other things, white tennis shoes and black boots, the feeling you get after going to the gym, Luna bars, nuts, freeze-dried strawberries and apples, the wind, summer, ikea, elephants, understated elegance, funky-bright eyeshadow, wearing sunscreen, pretty ribbon, taking showers longer than I should (not too fond of baths though), large block candles, recycling, staying organized, bronze statues, wearing pony tails and headbands (at the same time), listening to music too loud on my IPOD, cute underwear, cleaning, NYC!, "kitchy" stuff, orbit citrus mint gum, traveling to new places, clouds on sunny days, Degas drawings, convertibles (even though I dont drive), DETAILS!!, crystal light, book stores, funky paper clips, diet coke/pepsi, summer nights, gift wrap, the farmers market, Trader Joes food, romance, picnics, interesting/funky buttons, fruit salad, salads with nuts fruit and cheese in them, macs (the computer), holidays, free wireless internet, crossing the last thing off my "things to do" list, ice,

Dislikes: clutter, doing laundry, smelly things, poor grammar, bubble gum (just the pink stuff),poor skin, the rain, jet lag, moving, hot tea (love ice tea though), slow internet connections, traffic,

My taste in music varies by mood: HelloGoodbye, James Blunt, Ani Difranco, Damien Rice, Mariah Carey, and weird HipHop/R&B Remixes
