About Me

I am moving house 13.9.2007 and may be 'off the air' for a few days until Broadband is connected. I have updated my profile with my new address.

I am a Grandma with two grandaughters. Two adult sons. Recently retired. My husband is still working for a few months yet. My favourite colours are sunny pinks and mauves, brown pinks, greens, blues and reds with yellow in them. I don't like black. I like lots of colour. I live in Brisbane,Queensland, Australia. Brisbane is sub-tropical. Sadly, at present we are in drought. I have also practised yoga for over thirty years and it has helped me through the dramas that life can throw at one.

Favorite Music

Mozart. Choral. Old standards.

Favorite Movies

Romantic movies, especially costume dramas; eg. Jane Austen. I enjoy Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench in movies.

Favorite Television

I don't watch much TV but when I do I prefer dramas with plenty of words to concentrate on. Action movies and action TV sends me to sleep (I think it must be the music).

Favorite Crafts

Hand embroidery is my primary obsession. I belong to a Guild where I am involved with the Children's Classes. Our next project will be a hand embroidered Christmas stocking. I also enjoy creative machine embroidery from time to time and have just got back into sewing some of my own clothes now that I am retired. I also like making simple cloth dolls.

Favorite Books

My favourite book of all time is "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte. She was a genius at melodrama. I have also read everything written by Tracy Chevalier and almost everything written by Joanne Harris.
