About Me

I love second-hand shops, love anything mid-century, retro, etc. I'm also a vegetarian. I just entered a recipe swap, so hint hint no meats please! And I'm a newlywed. It's great. I am a graphic designer working in a great agency where I am very happy.

Favorite Music

i'm into folky stuff, female vocalists like azure ray, tegan&sara, joanna newsom. daily office listening includes fleet foxes, yeah yeah yeahs, shins, 16 horsepower, dancy vibes (not a band, but a genre), murder by death, etc.

Favorite Books

my favorite books are about design, typography, furniture. I love magazines. And I love teh interwebs.

Favorite Crafts

favorite crafts...hmm...i'm really into screenprinting. illustrations. crochet and knitting are awesome. found fabrics, found anything actually, is cool. i love vintage. i love yardsales, carbootsales, flea markets, anywhere you can find a cool old bargain. i really hate scrapbooking cause of the ready-made scrapbooking infomercials. but yours is probably cool.

Favorite Movies

welcome to the dollhouse, eternal sunshine, amelie, empire records, me you and everyone we know, king of kong. mary poppins, the sound of music, who framed roger rabbit and bugsy malone are my childhood favourites. most movies are cool. i love watching movies. I am, unfortunately, an animated movie snob.

In other news...

I just just went to the one and only Design Indaba in Cape Town, South Africa. If you haven't heard about it, hear about it and come next year. It's too fa-lippin awesome.
