Squares are to be 6'x6' (6 inchx6inch)

any colour, any style (this means it doesn't have to be a traditional granny square style)

Though you may ask your partner if they are looking for a particular colour of square.

i plan on trying to host one of these every month :D so feel free to keep an eye out for them

note: i am just calling it granny squares as i know of no other name to call them, samplers? call it what you want :D

another note: please remember that there are those out there who like myself do not have a wide variety of colours to choose from to knit, we will try to get the colours to what you are requesting in the comments, but please remember, yarn does cost money, and not everyone has the money to buy new colours on a whim. thanks for reading this little note at the bottom.

Final Note: 1 Square per partner, if you wish to send more than one, you ROCK!

Hi everyone! I love these swaps! I would like to kindly ask my partner to make my squares either in bright primary colors, or pastels. I use these squares to make blankets for ill and traumatized children. Thank you and happy granny squaring:0)

I would like my square to be in a bright/springy color (nothing dark)...BUT I will happily receive whatever you send. :) Can't wait to swap!

I like tan, white, and turquoise/aqua, any combination...but really if you dont have the colors I like surprises too:)

Hello everyone. I am glad that you are posting your preferences as I am also waiting for my partners :) I will continue to read the comments and see if when I am assigned partners, they have expressed a preference. Myself, I can use any colour, but usually have pastels. However, I can also use primary colours as there are some new children being born into my family and these would be great to use for a boys room.............So, if you are my partner, YOU choose whatever you have and be creative :) Darylene

All I ask is that if you don't send a traditional granny square to please try to send a copy of the patteren.

Any colors are fine. Inspire me with your choice.

CINDYAC 03/22/2012 #

any color and pattern, but i agree with @dragon68 i would love patterns to go along with any ' non traditional' type squares....i always love trying a new pattern. :)

Great idea for the pattern as an extra!

I have no preference of color, just a preference of creativity! Do whatever brings a smile to your face while you're working and when you're done. I hope to join a few more swaps like this one to eventually make a blanket full of nothing but swap squares!

SurroundingElements 03/23/2012 #

So this doesn't have to be a granny square specifically? I can just knit or crochet a swatch square?

heeehaww 03/23/2012 #

how do i get a partner? this is my first time?

valentine69 03/24/2012 #

just click on " join swap" (above with the swap description) Tomorrow is the last day to sign up.Then after the sign up date she will assign partners.

I understood that she used the term "granny square" as a generic term since she didnt know what else to call them ...knit or crochet a 6x6 inch square any design.

Im looking forward to this swap:)

This is my first swap ever, I'm super excited! It gives me a chance to keep myself going with art. I always want to do it, but blank out on deciding what I want to do, this will help me to continuously do something artistic. I'm so thankful that I found out about this. I love getting mail, especially if it's going to be art.
