Description:

Since round 1 was so much fun and seemed to go over quite well, I bring you round 2!

FOR THOSE NEW TO THIS SWAP, here are the instructions..

We will take an envie and of course, we will make a great mail art collaged (no theme) envelope AND we will cut out some great goodies which we will put inside the envie for our partners. Choose about 10 items or so. Enough for your partner to make another collaged envie. We need to include such things in our items that will allow our partner to make an envie they will be proud of. Ideas of things to include are magazine cut outs, book pages, ledger pages, postage stamps, bits of ribbons, cricut shapes, images cut from cards, a cut out from a piece of cool junk mail, etc. When you receive your goodies from your partner, you will make a cool piece of collaged mail art on an envelope and choose additional goodies to cut out to send to another partner in round 2 for them to paste. :)

We will be allowed to add additional pieces and other mediums to our mail art envelopes, but the majority of the art should be from our received goodies. :)

I'm hoping to keep this going for a number of rounds.

FOR THOSE WHO TOOK PART IN ROUND 1:

Please make a piece of mail art as described in the instructions, from what you received from your partner in round 1. You may add a few pieces to your art but keep the majority of your art work based on those pieces you received from your partner. Cut out some more pieces to send on to your partner in this round. :)

Envelopes may be any size.. from 4 x 6 to much larger depending on your personal taste.. I like to work on an envie at least 5 x 7 or larger.

Have fun! :)

Remember to include a note with the swap name, your swap bot name and group name so your partner knows where all that goodness came from! :)

Above image is mine from round 2 :)

Do we use our mail art envie we made w/received items to send next round items? Am I making sense?

SFreer 03/21/2013 #

@scrappermama hi.. you will use the items you were sent from your partner in round 1 to make a mail art envie. Then you will cut out some items to put in that envie to send to your partner in this round. They will use those items to make an envie in the next round. :) Your actual envie can be made from a book page, atlas page, or calendar page to start with and then decorated with what your partner sent you or you can just use a regular envie.. whatever works. Just use what your partner sent you to decorate it.

Got it! I'm a little slow... Sounds like fun!

This is like an art/collage chain letter. Love it. Who remembers chain letters? I used to love those.

Angie.. I have a swap I started in another group of a chain letter. I have only done 1 round so far, but round 2 is coming right up. I thought it would be a cool swap. Have to see how many rounds it can go for.. :)
