Description:

I am a writer, though I am not an avid letter writer. I cannot be the only swap-botter who enjoys the creative art of story telling. Painting a picture with words that nobody else can see.

I thought it would be a wonderful idea to host a group of swaps dedicated to story writing and sharing that story with others. This is my second run at this swap and the idea is to write a fictional story for your partner.
- The story is senders choice and should be something they are comfortable with writing.
- The story should be a work of fiction.
- The story must be hand written
- You should aim for at least one side of A4, though writing more is encouraged greatly.
- Feel free to illustrate your letter, but this is not a swap requirement, your partner may appreciate a picture or two.
- I will only be accepting swappers with a clean 5 rating for this. And no none rated swappers as I expect a great deal of thought will go into the creation of these short story's.
- To join this swap your account must be older than 2 weeks.

The important part about this swap is that you will tell a tale. The subject is upto you though please please make sure if you write a story about Bambi becoming a Pirate, ensure your partner isn't against Deer Swashbuckling (I hear its a major problem in the south!).

If you have any questions
Please ask away and I will try and answer as soon as I can.

Electronic??

Well spotted, I had not changed it. It should now be Type 3

Why handwritten? If this is not mean to be a warm fuzzy friendly letter but a work of fiction by a creative writer, what's wrong with writing it on the computer and sending something truly legible to your partner? I'll watch and see if you answer the questions?

Junemoon. As previously answered on the first swap attempt at hosting this
There is something more personal about a hand written letter, having now completed round one of this, I can confirm the care and delicate hand writing my partner wrote the story with and the extra effort I had to go through to hand write my own letter and hand writing was no issue for either of us.
At first I confess the hand written choice was a matter of paranoid on my part. A little concern that someone could simply copy and paste something from the internet, and while hand written doesn't change that. It does still mean a swapper must work at it.

Now I look at it differently. As a choice as host, much like you find hand drawn ATC or postcard swaps, this is my choice to ask for a hand written letter.
If your unhappy or have worries about your hand writing, I dont want to exclude you. I would be happy host a private swap for just me and you.

You're the host and if hand written is what you really want, that's it. I've received "handwritten" from many younger women that is really hand printed (I understand many schools do not teach cursive these days). Some are quite legible and some are not very. I simply don't do handwriting -- it's not pleasant for me to do and it's horrible for my partner (and my vociferous family) to receive.

@junemoon you could always host your own version of a writing swap and then you could make the requirements whatever you want :)

Of course. I wouldn't stop anyone using this idea for their own swap.
I am also happy to swap a printed version with you as a private swap.

Still only 2 people in this swap? That surprises me, it's such an awesome idea!

Does seem like its just me and you Carmen - though I confess, I loved the post you sent me last time we swapped. So Im not going to complain.
I suspect low sign ups is because February is a very short month to squeeze alot of swaps in.
