Description:

Setting limits, whether they be limits in color, medium, or theme, can sometimes benefit creativity. With that in mind, let's create some monochromatic prints.

For this swap, first create a print(s) using only the color red. Prints can be made using Gelli plates, homemade gelatin plates, or any other surface you choose. Feel free to use any kind of paper you wish to pull your prints as long as it's either white or red.

Next, use your print(s) to create an ATC OR a postcard OR a notecard, your choice. You may add any other media/mediums you wish, like rubber stamping, doodling, etc, provided you keep to the red theme. The envelope for your notecard need not be printed on unless you choose to. Write a little note to your partner on the back of the postcard/inside the notecard.

The nitty-gritty:

  • 1 ATC OR 1 handmade postcard OR 1 handmade notecard for 1 partner (postcard must be sent naked).
  • Use ONLY the color red to create your print(s). Anything extra added to the ATC/postcard/notecard must also be ONLY red.
  • Sender's choice in style and theme

I'm always happy to answer any questions, and I welcome suggestions/ideas for future swaps.

This sounds like fun! I'll have to wait for the next round because I have a couple of big-deal swaps (at least in my own head) on my dash I'd like to finish before I sign up for anything else. But I'm definitely interested in participating in this series!

Awesome, Allison! I plan to run it as a regular series.

Can we use white paper to pull prints so it's red? Or only use card stock or other papers that are red to begin with.

Yep, you can use white paper. Perhaps I should work on my wording a bit, huh?

I changed up the description a bit to include white paper. Thanks for pointing that out, @nermalski ! :)
