I live on the edge of a cliff in a high desert valley in Colorado with my mother and the world famous Coco the Wonder Dog. We're all old ladies here. Some more than others. We spend our time drinking hot beverages, chillaxing in rocking chairs, watching "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune," eating Jell-o in various forms, doing word search puzzles, observing wild birds through the window and remembering the good old days. Sometimes I sign up for a swap but we all participate in the event. The eldest member of the group contributes by campaigning for the swap to remain in this house stuck to the refrigerator where it would be more fully appreciated. The youngest participant enjoys donating black fur, especially if tape of any kind is involved.

• I generally don't like chunky ATCs with several factory-made embellishments glued to them. I prefer little pieces of original art rendered by hand with little to no mass-produced elements incorporated in the design.

• I have a thing about spiders. We get along perfectly well if we don't see each other. If we do happen to cross paths all hell breaks loose. Please don't even think of sending an image of a spider to my mailbox. My mailbox and I thank you.

• I hate receiving swaps in which the guidelines weren't followed. That puts me in the awkward position of pointing out the error and asking for a resend, leaving a 3 rating or ignoring the situation which damages my reputation and isn't fair to the SB community. Thank you for taking a moment to review the directions before mailing your swap.
