A creative soul. In my 40's. I love velvety things and iridescent shimmer, olive tones and turquoise and mauve. Vintage papers and old maps excite me rather alarmingly. I enjoy craft everything be it beer, cheese or woodworking to paper making. I love a good story told by anyone who's passionate about it. I have an affinity for noticing things others do not. I am always up for adventure and exploring near and far. I like freshly ground coffee with cream. Nature and the moon inspire peace and rightness in me and I find myself drawn to imagery that depicts the moon phases, night sky and beyond. I also enjoy wabi-sabi concept, Art Nouveau, vintage trailers, mid century décor, fashion, postage stamps, quartz/stones, soup making, Hellboy stories and a myriad of other things like McCoy pottery and Fiesta wear (I collect turquoise and tangerine) I have a cruiser bicycle I've named Euphemia after a Canadian artist and 4X4 named Angus from Brave.
I prefer postcards sent the old fashioned way, on their own, written upon, exposed to the journey of snail mail. Let all the hands that it finds in its travels guide it to it's intended.
Kindness means everything.
Indie but not exclusively. London Grammar, Quentin Tarantino soundtracks, Reggae, Nikki and the Dove, Sia, Lykke Li, Bowie, Bishop Briggs, Chromatics, Feist, Lorde to name a few..
Studio Ghibli, The 5th element, Frida, Amelie, Pulp Fiction, Wallace and Grommet, Blade Runner. So many more..
Enola Holmes, Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things, Carnival Row, Dr. Who, American Gods, Good Omens.
Watercolour, oil pastel, chalk, mosaic, collage, mixed media, stamping, alcohol ink, embossing, pen, ink, pencil, charcoal.
I enjoy learning about other cultures and languages. I especially love crafts from around the world and crafting items from different locales. I like vintage things that are neat and unique and hearing about the stories that they may have. I believe crafting is universally bonding and partake in it because I feel it connects us more profoundly then we realize.
Books were my escape while growing up and still are now. Adventure/Fantasy/SciFi. I love books about the "story behind the story" I am just crazy about the Harry Potter Series and Emily Bronte and Fables. Flavia de Luce series, Rebel Girls. Pretty much everything by Neil Gaiman. I'd be interested in doing a series of ATC's inspired by books. Currently reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January
