"I have the worlds largest seashell collection. You may have seen it, I keep it spread out on beaches all over the world."...Steven Wright
"The world, as a rule, does not live on beaches..." F. Scott Fitzgerald
i love these quotes...the first because it expresses my love of shells and beaches...the second because i love the author and i am one of those who is not living on a beach..although i wish i did.... i live in a rural area north of houston south of dallas and east of austin.... lots of beautiful oaks and pines ...i once had a lovely pond lined with water lillies ...that pond is almost empty now because of the drought...(I am happy to report that all the ponds are now full including the big pond but the water lillies are gone forever) i have always enjoyed expressing myself in art and i taught art at the h.s. level... i've lived in several states and in panama for a few years...my friends, like my "shell collection," are scattered around the world... i prefer cool colors... especially teal At present i have one dog, a stray who has come to live here named Blue and a cat also a stray name either George, Lt. Fuzz, or KittyKitty ... oh and three donkeys ...Sam Houston, Jack Kennedy, and Frankie (fdr)...and two horses...tom aka stanley,,, and brownie...

we live in a very rural area...I don't guess at postage required...instead I take all mail to a post office...one post office is 25 miles away...one is 30 miles away and another is 40 miles away...I hand all the mail to the post office person to weigh and check width...they determined what postage is necessary...I have had 3 people tell me they had to pay overdue postage and I promptly sent the amount..and my sincere apologies...I know how inconvenient it can be...so if any of you get mail from me marked overdue postage...please let me know...special thanks to all the creative clever and very generous swap partners I have been lucky enough to swap with...so much talent here...
