EDITED 16/11/2016: I extended the deadline into January, so you won't have a big swap due before Christmas on your dashboard. Maybe this makes it more relaxed and there will be more people interested in participating. :)

Hello everybody!

I don't know about you, but here in Southern Germany it's freezing at the moment and winter is just around the corner.

So, what better way to keep us warm than a swap? (Well, there might be more efficient ways, but they certainly are less fun!)

This swap is supposed to keep your partner warm from the inside and the outside. Here in Germany, there are sales in the stores during all of advent, so we can try to get the best bargain for our partner.

What we'll send to each other:

  • 1 jumper or another warm piece of clothing for the upper body

  • 1 pair of nice, warm socks

  • 1 wintery, warm accessory, such as gloves, a scarf or a hat/beanie

  • 1 full package of a hot drink according to your partner's likes (no single sachets!)

  • 1 surprise that will warm your partner's heart, worth ca. 3-4 Γ’β€šΒ¬

  • 1 christmassy surprise that has to do with Christmas in your country (doesn't need to be big)

Please add a notecard or, if you like, a letter to your swap and say a few words about the swap or what winter is like where you live.

Now, for some rules:

The value for this swap should be at least 25 Γ’β€šΒ¬ in total. You should send your partner good quality items, not discounter clothing, so you'll have to spend a little bit more on the items. Therefore this whole swap is profile based! There would be not much point in sending a rather expensive parcel which your partner won't like. So it's required to read your partner's profile and understand their likes and preferences (for example concerning colours and designs). All items have to be new and unused! Please leave the tag on! If there is no tag on the item (for whatever reason), please include the receipt. You can fold it up, so your partner can decide whether he wants to know how much you spent, but there should be some verification that the items are new. Thrifted clothing is not allowed for this swap! However, if you're an avid knitter and you are so inclined, you may include 1 handmade item! Please only do this if you can create something that you would give to your best friend as a gift without hesitation. Please state your clothing size in the comment section plus possible preferences (especially if they are not on your profile).

Who can participate? Of course everyone in this lovely group is allowed to participate. :) Please have a very well filled-out profile - your partners need to get an idea of what you like to pick out something nice for you. I will be checking each and every profile very carefully before assigning partners - if I see something I don't like, I reserve the right to ban users from the swap.

So, anybody up for showing each other what winter looks like in another part of the world? Go ahead and join me!

Merry Christmas!

I love the swaps you posted but I can't budget doing something like this until after January 15th (when I get my money for the spring semester at Uni.) I saw that nobody has joined and everyone is watching and just wanted you to know they are super awesome swaps and I would definitely join but with Christmas happening right now Im broke until January. If you post some in January I will definitely join! I just don't want you to think they aren't amazing swap ideas because nobody has joined yet :) They are really amazing ideas!

Thank you @XFoxgloveX for your comment! I'm extending the deadline into February, so you'll have some time to regroup after Christmas. I hope you (and maybe a few others?) will join us!

Yes! You rock :) I didn't want to be that person that begged you to change the date just for her, but thank you so much!!
