Description:

There is just something relaxing about stamping images, coloring them and then making them into nice cards to share with friends - to brighten their day.

With spring in full swing out here in the Pacific Northwest (and hopefully soon for other parts of the country), let's have a coloring swap with a theme of FLOWERS.

Everyone gets to choose if they would like the card to be for them or a card they can use for someone else. Either way, you are to include a nice note written to them either on the card itself or on another piece of paper just loose in the envelope. [When you sign up, please list your preference in the comments section below and then don't forget to come back here once partners are assigned to see what choice your partner selected.]

Fine Details:

  • Choose one or more flower themed rubber stamps from your collection. At least one should be a design you can color in. (It's optional if you want to stamp a general greeting outside or inside the card.)
  • Stamp it, color it, attach it to a background layer of some sort. Then attach it to a folded card. For those of you who think you aren't card makers, but like to make ATCs, here's a tip: make a nice flower ATC and then attach it to a background layer and then to a folded card base. Voila, you now have a pretty handmade card. :)
  • Write a note to your partner either on the card or on a separate piece of paper (see your partner's preference below). Perhaps you'll tell about your day or what spring is like in your neck of the woods.
  • Put the card inside an envelope.
  • Stamp a few flower images on the envelope (color 'em or not).
  • Put on proper postage.
  • Send to your partner.
  • Have fun :)

For some reason, I can't seem to add a picture of a card I made. There should be a nice watering can with flowers card shown for the swap icon. Sigh.

My preference is the note be written directly on the card you make for me.

rarjones 04/28/2017 #

My preference is for the card NOT to be written so I can use it for someone I choose. Thank you @ArtyBeth3 for the option in this swap:)

Yay, I finally could post a picture of a colored floral card.

I would like a personal note too!

Would love to read what my partner has to say, so inside will be fine...
