Description:

Remember your grade school Valentine's Day Party? Putting your Valentine box out on your desk, walking around to each classmate's desk to deposit their little envelopes. And the best part, opening up your box and finding all those little love notes!

Purchase a box of those classroom valentine's, found at nearly every supermarket and dollar store. Pick your favorite cartoon or design, just like you did when you were a kid.

Your "class" will consist of 10 people. You'll send one valentine to each "classmate", don't forget to sign each one so they know who it's from!

Extras: For a special Valentine's Day treat, send those cards that come with a candy surprise! Or maybe a sheet of stickers.

You can NOT mail them in the small envelopes they come in. Just put each one in a larger envelop, with or without its small envelope.

Swappers with 4.5 rating and above and newbies with completely filled out profile welcome. No one with no-sends allowed.

Cute idea! :o)

for those who may wonder what to do with them later, here's a couple ideas:1) hang from small clips on a string over your doorway to decorate for valentines, 2)focal on the front of a handmade card. 3) backgrounds for atcs.

Wow, excellent ideas dreamerkins! I love the idea to use them as the focal on a handmade card, with a few embellishments you can make a whole new card!

Hey! I have to drop this swap just temporarily due to new swap restrictions. BUT I will be signing up closer to the sign up date! I am excited for this one!

I love the idea!!! Count me in, but I am going to put it on my watchlist for now because of the new limitations. Thanks for hosting!!!

JennaZ 12/12/2008 #

To all those watching, no probs! I understand. See you in January! :)

One of my favourite childhood memories is of Valentine's Day, giving and getting all those sweet, silly little cards. Now, I'll have to go search out a box to decorate to put my cards in and the memory will be complete! Thanks for hosting this!

Hello everybody, my sister is joining this swap, I hope her partner(s) don't mind but can you send it to the name "Erin Martinez". She tried making her own account so she could join but the address was already in use (by me ;P) so yeah just a heads up!

Cool idea!! I can't wait. : )

Would anyone mind if I made my own childhood valentines rather than buy them? I have made several of these for the children on my friends. Let me know. Thanks--russ

nystarcards - that sounds really cute! I am looking forward to this swap. I even hand out Valentine's at work!!

I just want to remind any newbies without ratings to please fill out your profile completely so that we know you are a real an genuine person. If you have no ratings, you will need a filled-out profile to be assigned a partner by me. Thanks!

To address the question of handmade cards, the idea of this swap is to exchange valentines just like the ones you would get as a kid at a classroom party. If you can craft up something akin to what kids give out then sure, handmade would be fine. Just keep the theme of the swap in mind, please. Thanks!

I was thinking about doing this exact same swap, and here it is! Yeah! I am so excited!

To all my swap partners I was informed by a swapper that she had to pay extra postage for my cards. I took my cards to the Post Office and had a clerk verify the cost of postage. If anyone had to pay additional money for my cards please let em know and I will reimburse you via mail or Pay Pal if you accept it.

I've received a number of ratings, if you can let me know if you had to pay I would appreciate it.
