Description: | |
April is National Poetry month and National Letter Writing month, as well as the Write On Challenge. Shall we combine all 3 in a swap? Of course! :) For this swap, you will have 1 partner and the swap will be International. This is a type 2 swap, so it should be fairly lightweight to send. First, you will write your partner a letter. This does not need to be a pen pal letter, or an introduction letter, just a letter to your partner. Maybe look at their profile and comment on similarity, or write about how obsessed your host is with challenges. :) You are not required to reply to the letter, but if you are interested in a reply, please note that in the letter so your partner knows. Second, you will send your partner a copy of a poem you enjoy. IT can me a poem you wrote personally, or one you found in a book, one you read to children (And, yes, Shel Silverstein counts, and Yes, "The Giving Tree" is considered a poem. I checked.) IF you want to type or write out "The Raven", go for it. :) The poem is totally up to you, however, you Must include the title and author of the poem! Please give credit where credit is due. :) Letter and poem may be typed or handwritten - that's up to you. You can use stationery or decorated paper or plain paper. I don't like putting requirements on decoration or length, as you may have noticed. But please take some time and enjoy the swap. You never know when your letter will be the only fun mail your partner gets. :) If you are participating in the Write On Challenge, this letter certainly counts for a letter in the month. :) Be sure to include the swap name and your user ID so you can easily get rated. And please remember to rate your partners. :) If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM and I'll respond as soon as I can. If you are watching this swap, but not yet signing up, I would greatly appreciate a note in the comments section. Thanks. :) |
