Description:

This is inspired by the idea of blind envelope swaps I've seen hosted by @thisismeAXiD with a small twist.

I love receiving a filled envelope and discovering all of the assorted goodies within. If you are anything like me you will definitely love this swap. You will have 1 partner to whom you'll send a blind envie (meaning you pack before partners are assigned and seal the envelope) of 10 categories of items from the following list (each bullet point=1category)

  • 5 Handmade crafts (not by anyone else, you need to make something for your partner) It can be anything, some options are bookmark, flip card, pocket folder, ATC, notecard, bracelet, and so on.
  • 5 envelopes (not smaller than 4x4)
  • 5 quotes (handwritten or typed)
  • 5 paperclips(altered or different designs but not plain)
  • 5 scrapbooking papers (6x6 or bigger )
  • 5 tags
  • 5 wax seals (real wax not stickers)
  • 5 photographs (instax or regular)
  • 5 book pages (whole sheets not cut or torn, slightly worn out is fine)
  • 5 washi samples (24" each)
  • 5 ribbon/lace samples (24" each)
  • 5 patterned fabric squares (4x4 or bigger)
  • 5 different papers (for junk journal)
  • 5 paper doilies (each 3" or bigger)
  • 10 ephemera
  • 10 loose stickers (each 1" or bigger) or 1 sheet with 10 stickers
  • 10 used postage stamps
  • 10 negative films
  • 10 die cuts
  • 10 memo sheets/sticky notes (each 3" or bigger)
  • 10 stamped images (each 2" or bigger)
  • 10 dried flowers (packed neatly in an envelope)

Along with it send a little note of the swap name, your swapbot ID and list the 10 categories you are including. You can include any extras if you so wish (we all know we love them). Since this is an international swap, please give the mail adequate time to reach you. Making it a type 3 due to craft element and postage costs.

RATING

  • No one below a rating of 4.99
  • No one with unresolved/unexplained 1's and 3's in the last 6 months.
  • Hearts are at your discretion. Don't rate a 3 if you dislike whats included as it is senders choice and a blind envie after all.
  • I will be checking all profiles before assigning partners and will ban at my discretion
  • Newbies with a minimum of 5 type 3 and overall 20 (type2/3) swaps are allowed.

Hopefully this will be as fun for you as it is for me.

I am looking for volunteers to angel this swap with me, please Pm or comment(although I'm hoping angeling won't be necessary).

If flaked on, follow through below:

  1. Contact your partner if you haven’t received anything.
  2. If you can’t work things out with them, message me.
  3. After you rate them a 1 for noncompliance, we'll have an angel send out a swap.

Looking forward to some fun. Happy swapping. Please contact me for any queries

Hi there I would really live to join the swop if possible?

Phenyx 08/ 7/2019 #

@Cocoabooklover Welcome to SB. It's lovely that you would like to join. But seeing as you're complete newbie, I would suggest joining a group like Newbie Helpers while you figure your way around here and can have some safe swaps under your belt as well.

Hey! Will you be running another one of these? Would love to join but I’m a newbie right now. Thank you :)

dancingtiger 08/10/2019 #

asking for clarity... we send 10 things from the list, so it is ok to eg send ten postage stamps? and that's it... Or does 10 postage stamps = one item, and I have to add eg 5 book pages + 5 tags +10 ephemera + 5 ribbon? so it might be 25 items in total or even as many as 100 items if I choose the 10 items list

Phenyx 08/10/2019 #

@dancingtiger the latter is correct. Each item on the above mentioned list (along with the quantity) count as 1.so yes you need to pick 10 from the list above and your total could go up to 100 if you pick all listed with 10 each.

Phenyx 08/10/2019 #

@AJKnight9 I would love to host something similar in the future as well, so you can definitely join in then.

@Phenyx . thanks for clarifying..

WanderingStar 08/13/2019 #

@Phenyx I was doubting about the amounts as well.. but I just decided to make the huge package. It's been lying here already since Friday.. excitedly waiting for someone's address to travel to! :) I really like this swap!!! :) :)

Phenyx 08/14/2019 #

@WanderingStar I'm glad @dancingtiger asked and I could clarify it then. Also truly glad to have you on board. My own package has been sitting in my drawer since I created this swap. I'm eagerly waiting for the partner assignment too.

Kokoxo 08/15/2019 #

I was wondering if it had to be one of each or could i double two or three i.e. 10 ATCs (counts as 2 items) and 10 photos (counts as 2 items), or does it need to be 10 separate bullet points?

Phenyx 08/16/2019 #

@Kokoxo preferably it would be the latter(10 separate bullet points). The reason being I'm hoping everyone would get 10 different categories of items rather than say just 100 items from 5 categories). Since this is s'posed to be a blind Envie I can't suggest ask your partner but if it wasn't I would've suggested consulting your partner.
