About Me

So I've always been in love with the idea of snailmail. I've sent plenty of them while I was at boarding school and I guess it's something that just stuck with me. I've been toying with the idea of finding a penpal in this day and age and Voila I came across a YouTube video which directed me here. SO HERE I AM!!!

I am new to this but I will try my best to make the most of this system. I'm living in India but I'm a Tibetan. The whole idea of finding a penpal, learning about different cultures and getting to know other people (in an era of internet) is a beautiful experience.

I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Psychology and I'm not sure what trouble I've signed myself up for. Compared to that I'm hoping finding a penpal would be a breeze. :)

I'm also trying to learn Korean and Tibetan languages. I have always been someone who likes planning and preparing for simple things and they may not always be visible but they exist. So this year I began a bullet journal in Jan. I'm taking it slow so nothing too fancy as of now.

You can jump to the DIY and ABC section to know what to write or send me.

I am also open to personal swaps (containing what I'm looking for-mentioned below). Drop me a message if you are interested.

NOTE: Please message me if you don't receive my snailmail. I send all swaps before the deadline. If any mail has been misplaced or doesn't arrive, I will resend if necessary.

I am looking for

  • Carved rubber stamps & clear stamps (mainly vintage themed, botanical themed, retro and grunge)
  • Anything vintage themed(book pages, stickers, diagrams, ephemera, maps, music sheets, illustrations etc)
  • Anything botanical (papers, stickers, diagrams, cut-outs, etc.)
  • Rubber pieces from a sheet (for stamp carving) any size will do

Favorite Books

So I'm not a complete bookworm but yeah I'm a voracious reader. I don't think I can remember all the books I've ever read. My all time favourite genres are

• Adventure

• Crime

• Suspense/Thriller

• Sci-fi

I have read a few non-fiction as well but mostly self help and personal development books.

There's something about a story that sticks with me while I forget it's name/title. Does that happen with you too ?

Favorite Movies

I think I can definitely say I enjoy a bit of every genre (except war movies or those based in that time) But there are a few that stick with me, even after the passage of time I remember scenes vividly and enjoy watching them again and again. Like,

• Inception

• Shutter Island

• Trance

• Seven Pounds

• Catch me if you can

• Shawshank Redepmtion

Favorite Television

Well this is indeed something that requires the patience to follow and if you happen to miss or hear of a particular show late then the binge watching begins (guilty). You know you've done that too. By the way a few of my personal favourites are:

• Dexter ( I love, love this one. Insanely intriguing)

• Prison Break (I think the planning and plotting just drew me in as someone whose completely into the whole planning and organising bit)

• Suits (damn these guys know what they're doing)

• Lie to Me ( I'd be surprised maybe shocked to ever know of any Psyc student who doesn't love this one)

I've reached this far and I haven't yet mentioned this whole new world of K-dramas that I've been going gaga over (Not joined the K-pop bandwagon, yet). It's been a completely new world that has gotten me intrigued about Korea- its culture, food, people and language (Yes, I picked up a few words from the TV series and yes I'm struggling to learn Korean). I don't want to list all the K-Drama, as it's never ending.

While it's been a few years since I decided that I want my life to be productive and minimalistic(I'm trying my best). A big reason I began DIYing and recycling things around me to make optimum utilisation of resources. While doing this I try to pick up a new skill every now and then. It could be small but as long as it helps sustainability.

Also please don't be surprised if I reuse a postcard or note card or envelope for your swap mail.

I am always delighted to receive mail & ephemera from there so I was delighted to see your envie from India with my name in giant calligraphy! Thank you for the fun selection of goodies. The Cavallini notecard is lovely & I cherish the bookmark with the Dalai Lama's words of wisdom especially. May we meet in the mail again soon!

My fav. (ofcourse) are those really cool little music sheets (is that a stamp??) and the stamped pictures you sent me.. Also: l<3ve the ephemera you included! Thank you!!
Response: Oh I'm happy to hear that you liked what I included. Yes I made those adhesives(kinda like vintage themed washi strips). Oh most definitely, yes it is a stamp. Those are some of my most loved stamps. Of recently I've been going crazy with them. So happy to hear the package arrived safely. Thank you for the rating. 😊🤗

Comment: I really liked the ephemera and the envelopes but the requirement for this swap was 4 tags, I only received 2 because it did not meet the requirements I rated a 3.
Response: Update|Sept 10: Thank you for re-rating. Hey dear, I clearly remember putting in the specified number of items, although I don't have a picture of the items included. If you could please recheck and let me know as the tags could've been confused with other ephemera(2 were small but on thick card stock) . Otherwise I am willing to rectify this. Apologies for the inconvenience.
