Description:

I'm hosting this swap because I've been holding onto this Postcard Bag/Train for months now looking for the next swap and I've never ran across it. I would like to get this moving again so that it can get back to it's owner.

I will hold at least 4 rounds so that if you are a new person to this swap you can participate in enough rounds to receive your bag back once it makes the rounds.

Do you know what a Postcard Bag/ Train is?

Simply put, if you are starting out new you create a envelope (this is what is being called a bag) and fill it with 5 or more new unused postcards. Then on the outside of the envelope you write The Rules. For example: Take 2, Add 4. Then on the front of the envelope add 4 numbered signature lines and the your address for the " #4 Please Return Home to: "

Please see the picture above for a visual reference.

If you already have an established bag/train just do as the direction on your bag says and then mail it to your assigned partners.

I am only going to hold 4 rounds of this swap. If you are starting new this should get your postcard bag passed around and full and mailed back to you within a reasonable amount of time.

If you end up with an established bag and need to mail it home to the owner then it is up to you if you want to start a new bag and maybe host this swap after the four I host.

I will create all 4 round of this swap and post the links to the other rounds below.

4.99 rating and no recent 3s or 1s within the last 3 months.

I’m unclear. Is t β€œtrain” the theme of the postcards or is it being used to describe the bag moving along?

Margothecat 08/26/2019 #

@NRGordon it is used to describe the bag moving along. These are a lot of fun!

Hello I have a question, If you choose to do the rule take 2 add four. You would start a bag with 4 and get 12 cards back? While also trading with other peoples pc bag? Want to make sure I understand this correctly. And this is 4 rounds and you will get your bag back after the four rounds are finished? Thank you.

@Ukucaitie basically yes to everything you said. hahahaha You can make whatever rule you want. You could do a Take 2 Add 2 or Take 1 Add 2 etc. It is totally up to you. My example is just the example of what the person who sent to me put on their bag.

In a perfect world you should get your postcard bag back after 4 rounds but that is if everyone signs up for all four rounds. Sometimes folks may forget to sign up for a round or two or the mail may move slow for them and they don't get their swap before the deadline for the next one. I tried to set the send by for the end of one round two weeks from the beginning of the next round so that there is time for you to get your swap.

@MargoTheCat said she will continue the swap after my four rounds so keep an eye out for her hosting future rounds of this swap :)
