Description:

πŸ‘€Do you ever receive a letter and wonder "Did she even read my letter?" This is aimed to AVOID that kind of pal. If you reply to someone without re-reading their letter, you can stop here, this isn't for you.

This swap is for those who:

πŸ‘Keep their pal in mind/profile in mind when writing and truly RESPOND to profiles/letters

πŸ‘Like a 2 way conversation with a pal; asking questions RELATED TO THAT SPECIFIC PERSON

πŸ‘Tend to write longer letters and send ON TIME. And, 40+ years of age

NOT for those who:

πŸ‘Žsend the same letters/parts to more than one pal

πŸ‘Ž Write like it's a journal/diary entry or a play-by-play of their day

πŸ‘ŽCan't tell who their letter is to by the content

πŸ‘Ždoesn't ask any questions specifically FOR that partner/pal

This is for potential pals who are willing to put in the effort to get to know their partners and see if they're a match for ongoing pen paling..which can lead to wonderful friendships! It's not about just getting something in the mail. It's QUALITY over QUANTITY.

🌈Rating based on whether it was obvious that your partner actually read your profile (obvious as in they responded to multiple topics in your profile; if they did that, it's a 5; rating is NOT based on commonalities, it's based on whether they READ your profile and wrote to YOU specifically)

No requirements on length (just a real letter, not a couple paragraphs), or artistic abilities (decorate if you like, but not required), and no stationery or tuck-ins required (include if you like but make sure it's FOR THEM based on their profile). The requirement is to really read the profile and focus on the person you're writing to in your letter and comment on their profile, ask questions about them specifically, etc.

Hopefully you will gain a pal or two, but keep trying if you don't get a long term match; it can take several swaps. I usually have a monthly swap like this for those of us that are about QUALITY over quantity!! (And I have "met" some AWESOME friends here--sometimes they join these!)

πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈYou can be new or seasoned, but you MUST have a well filled-out profile about YOU to join this swap. (Saying what THINGS you like for other swaps or want lists is not sufficient for this swap.) People are removed from these every month because they don't meet this criteria.

Is it required that put a comment on our partner's profile? If so does the comment about something specific or can we write something as simple as I liked reading your profile or looking forward to being your partner.

               Thanks,
            Suzanne "Honeyblossom"

honeyblossom---It is NOT required that you comment on your partners profile on Swapbot, but it IS required that you comment on what your partner is SAYING in their profile in the letter you write to them. No, "I liked reading your profile" is not sufficient for this swap.

I understand about what should be the content of the letter. I just wanted to make sure we didn't have to leave a message on their swapbot profile in addition to writing them a letter.. Thanks, Suzanne
