Description:

We havdn't done a journal swap in a while, so let's try something different! I was inspired by THIS SWAP hosted in the public forum by @littlehana86 and with her OK, I thought we could try it here.

This will be an electric swap! Meaning - no snail mail, no lost mail, no high costs for shipping! so, everyone can join! :) If you really wish to do a type 3 snail mail version, please ask!

So, for this swap, you will respond to at least 20 of the prompts below, hand written or typed, in a journal on on individual paper - it's fully and completely up to you! Then, when you have completed at least 20 of the prompts below, you will take pictures of the pages to share with your partner. You can share them via email, you can make a video, you can upload to instagram - whatever works for you and your partner and share your writing. You get the keep your journal, you get to share it with someone else, and nothing gets lost in the mail or gives you sticker shock at the post office! If you type your journal in a regular word document, you can attach that document to an email to send to your partner. But it is very important that you communicate with your partner about how you will share with them. Not all of us are terribly techie, so we may even learn something new. :)

You can use any journal. You can use any paper. Any pens. You can type some, hand write some - this is YOUR journal and your interpretation.

WE will be rating on the fact that the minimum of 20 prompts and sending on time & communicating with your partner.

Please take some time with the prompts and try to give them a good answer. But I won't set a minimum word length for each prompt. You can use the same page for more than one prompt, if you wish.

Please write each prompt before your response.

You can start on the journal now if you'd like, or you can wait until partners are assigned. But you are not required to tailor the swap to your partner.

The prompts

  1. Come up with a one sentence happiness mantra you can say to yourself each morning

  2. Write about an act of kindness you witnessed today.

  17. Your choice

You only have to reply to 20 of the above 30 prompts. You can add more if you'd like. Feel free to add art work, photographs or anything else you'd like to share with your partner.

Please be sure to send on time and communicate with your partner!

If you have ANY questions, please send me a PM and ask sooner than later. :) And if anyone is specially interested in a snail mail version, please let me know!

I'm going to allow extra time for this, so you don't have to write every day. But don't put it off to the end! Ideally, you'll answer one prompt a day, but if you would like to do more than one a day, that's fine too.

IF you need a suggestion of how to clearly photograph your pages, I would suggest the Adobe Scan app for android (and probably apple?) It's a free app and it works great for taking clear scans of pages and save as pdf.

I have no clue why the numbering is like that - when I edit the swap, it is numbered 1-30, so I can't change that. :(
