No comment at the bottom will have you removed from the swap.This is just like the title says, you are going to be a not so secret Santa!Amazon and Etsy are highly encouraged, unless you want to go out and find your partner something local to wrap and send directly--I don't like having to say this, but I am seeing a lot of 3s and 1s going out lately when they shouldn't be. If you check the side panel - View participant, you can see when your partner says they sent things.-- From there add 8 weeks...YES, 8 weeks. The USPS has admitted to slowing down flat rate mail and upping the costs of packages for the holiday season. Minimum 20$ gift limit, wrapped / not wrapped is up to you. Guidelines: This should be a gift! Not some random things from your stash unless it's unopened/nothing missing item. Should be something you would love to receive Should require some thought and be tailored to your partners likes. Ask your partner questions, look at a wish list, read their profile; find your partner a fun Christmas / Holiday Gift After my second year hosting this and seeing all the things that I did, I am going to add more steps! Step Two#Does your partner only want things off the Wishlist or do they want to be surprised. - be sure to read their comment before going shopping. After these two steps have been done, you can proceed to finding your partner that perfect gift! This gift should not be stickers slapped on tags, misc. pieces from your stash that you want to get rid of ETC. This gift can include stationery that you have never opened! Only if it meets your partners likes. But I must add that if you do this it only counts as a few dollars off your 20$ minimum. Finally, I shouldn't have to say this; but if you can't afford 20$ gift or 10$ shipping (Total of 30$) Please don't join this exchange.This is a time for you to be creative and! YOU get a month lead time to get something together and send it just in time for the holidays. Rate a 5 only after you have opened your package!! as long as you got something worth at least 20$ inside. Am hoping that there is communication going on here to make this a better year for this exchange. Remember to include somewhere that this if for Christmas/Holiday Gift Exchange. --I will be checking profiles to ensure success and fun for everyone.-- Everyone will be checked for location, activity, and ratings. I can't believe I am having to add this. If I find people are rating "ones" unfairly, 3 months after the swap was sent, are noncommunicative, etc. You will no longer be welcome in my swaps. | |
