Description:

[EDIT] I have to change the send by date due to my hectic schedule right now and the fact that I just can't make it anywhere to take photos! It shouldn't affect anyone because of new rating feature where you can rate partners right away. :)

By popular demand, toy voyager swap is back! :P This swap is international, and you will have about 2.5 weeks to take photos and send it to your partner.

  • You will have one (1) partner.

  • Pick a toy based on your partner's preference listed in the comments. (Please don't request anything very specific, because it might be hard to get a hold of it.)

  • Take 10-15 photos around your town: library, gallery, museum, bookstore, mall, your house, forest, and anything else that's interesting and fun around where you live, but make sure that the toy appears in every one of those photos.

  • Please make sure you'll have a variety of photos, to make toy's 'journey' interesting.

  • Mail photos to your partner, along with the toy.

  • Open for newbies (with filled out profiles and not just 1-2 sentences please) and swappers with rating 4.5 and above. I WILL be banning people who do not meet these requirements.

  • If you have any suggestions, please message me, or leave comments :)

  • Have fun swapping!

I have no preference, except maybe the stranger the toy, the better. It doesn't have to be all-out whacky or super-obscure or anything, just something that you might find to be a little weird, like a creepy-looking doll. No need to try too hard, just go with whatever gives you that sudden "Eureka!" moment.

kittenmeowmeow 05/15/2007 #

oh dear.. i so want to do this.. but international shipping is killing me...

tIREEN 05/15/2007 #

I know EXACTLY what you mean, Kittenmeowmeow, but I so DON'T want to give up a chance of receiving something from different country! :)

I'll just have to choose a pretty small cute toy and choose the flatest box there is!

user7866 05/15/2007 #

This sounds so awesomely adorable! I met a couple on vacation once that they did this wherever they went, with a little turtle knicknack. I've always wanted to do it too. :)

Should the photos be in an album, or just in the regular photo envelope?

Moominbrooke 05/15/2007 #

Toy-wise... I'd say a critter with a sense of humour to it, or at least self-assurance. Don't let this hem you in, though! If you have a great idea, go with it!

MAM 05/15/2007 #

Yay! I'm so excited to join this one. As for my preferences, something soft/stuffed, that's smaller in size, so I can keep on my desk at work (and out of the mouths of dogs...). Can be cute or ugly or goofy or creepy, anything goes. Surprise me!

Chickpea 05/15/2007 #

This is such a great idea! It really sounds like it will be as much fun to give as to receive in this case!

mama2llama 05/15/2007 #

This sounds fun. I'm going on vacation between sign up and send date. So whoever I get your toy will be traveling with me. ;) My kids will love this.

user8072 05/15/2007 #

I like anyting which is cute

user2310 05/15/2007 #

I'd like a cat or polar bear if possible otherwise anything cute and furry would be lovely too (:

user6740 05/17/2007 #

I'll take anything - like my profile says, I'm easy to please, I promise!

user2324 05/19/2007 #

It would be awesome it was a plush of some sort, but other than that surprise me!

I'm looking forward to this swap. :D

ozrob 05/20/2007 #

I would love any soft toy animal that is native to your country.

FleaGirl 05/23/2007 #

After the last toy voyager, I'm happy to be surprised. It adds to the excitement!

Aerochik 05/24/2007 #

I love doing the toy voyager swaps, I have some really well traveled pals!!!! Count me in!

Aerochik 05/24/2007 #

We love frogs, fairies, kitties, puppies or something unusual or native to your area!

tIREEN 05/24/2007 #

Mokona, it's really up to you how you want it. I usually sent my photos in little photoalbum, along with short comments about toy and photos.

On the other hand, I got photos in a handmade photo album, and that was super cute!

I would like a little cat or butterfly.

wyldIvy 06/ 2/2007 #

Oh this just sounds way too fun not to do! I'd just love to see some cute odd critter and it's travels arrive on my door. Not to mention the fun of picking up a little cuddly thing and documenting it's excursions around with me. I'll even be going on a trip the week before so it'll have lots of places to go!

ohhhkay 06/ 3/2007 #

I love turtles, wolves, cats and unicorns (my favorite!). I'm pretty easy to please! :) Just no spiders or anything scary. ;)

marieoday 06/ 4/2007 #

I signed up for a toy voyager swap once & never recieved anything. Nonetheless, I am still drawn to the idea of it so I'm sucking it up & signing up again. I'd like something weird or spooky, toy wise, but if that's not possible I have no preferences.

Chickpea 06/ 5/2007 #

I'm happy with any toy as long as it has personality!

user8816 06/ 6/2007 #

I'd love something small and furry for my desk! This is such a great swap - I'm excited already! :)

user8806 06/ 7/2007 #

Are printed pictures, like on computer paper fine, cos that's the one thing, i don't really have a place to develop pictures

hoppyloo 06/ 7/2007 #

This sounds great! I would love a "vintage" toy of some kind..maybe a ragdoll or similar? Cant wait to see where it goes on its travels!

user4390 06/ 7/2007 #

I did this with a little stuffed donkey when I went to Germany. It was so fun.

I'd be happy with any toy. I'm not too picky. This sounds like an awesome swap and I'll be happy with whatever toy you pick. :D

Cherries 06/ 7/2007 #

I have photos of Barbie & GI Jane when they vacationed in Arizona, Nevada, Switzerland, Italy, & France, plus at home on the farm. The 2 gals loved to travel. Jane even helped drive though the desert.

tIREEN 06/ 9/2007 #

I don't think I've posted yet anything I want... and I'm the coordinator!!! :P

I would like anything cute and kawaii (just no teddy bears). Maybe a turtle or a penguin...? :P Or a fox... See, I can't even make up my mind!!!

Moominbrooke 06/15/2007 #

Just thought I'd say I am having a lot of fun with this- I am going to miss this...critter. Loads of personality and not afraid to flaunt it.
