About Me

My Intent Word is Dynamic. I am trying to bring more of that energy and action into my life. Writer, musician (I play Irish trad.pennywhistle and flute), art historian, color guard/ winter guard mom, NaNoWriMo participant, racquet sport addict...I write cd reviews and interviews on folky and psychedelic music in "Scram! The Journal for Unpopular Culture" and an arts column in "FolkWorks-The Source For Folk Arts, Music and Dance in the Greater L.A. Region." www.scrammagazine.com and www.folkworks.org Favourite colours are jewel tones. Love the aqua/turquoise/teal and lavender/violet/purple families as well as hot pink, and electric green. Don't let this hem you in, though.I tend to prefer jewelery in silver, turquoise, coral and opal. Celtic designs are good, too and Steampunkness. Renaissance Faire stuff. Quirky weirdness. Someone recently turned me on to the delights of Cram Cream and San-X.Those little steamed bun, tea, sushi and bread people crack me up. I like Skulls and Steampunk aesthetics. I am currently trying to get my Steampunk costume together. :0) I also have a soft spot for Rupert Bear and Hamtaro...Moomins...Froud Faery Whatnot...Sisu (and other members of the black licorice family)...Cloudberries...and marzipan...and stuff with flames on it.Especially blue flames. Comment: thank you!
Comment: Thanks for joining again. It arrived in one of those "we care" envelopes from USPS, the kind they use when mail gets damaged. But it doesn't look like anything is wrong, I think they just deemed the envelope too small to run through the meters because the stamps aren't cancelled. Nothing feels broken!

Comment: Thank you :) - the rating was from a while back. Someone commented that my comment along with their rating was blank, but I never leave a blank one. I went through my swaps from ages ago and it turns out that comments were absent from quite a few, and knowing how much people dislike it, I put the comments back in.
Response: I am confused- this is from when? (later...) Ok! Haha! Thanks :0)

Hello! I also enjoy Celtic designs, natural colors and dragons. I have thought about trying needle felting but I am not sure what to do with the end product. I also like to make crafts that are useful end product and not just decorative. I have been hand making books lately. Though, needle felting just looks relaxing. Permission to just stab something with a needle and make something out of it. On purpose. I will check out Dragonriders of Pern thank you for the suggestion! T-Profile Comment swap. /wave

I wish I could find a how to make the bracelet below. It is so pretty.
