Description:

Who wants to get a one of a kind fabric postcard? The requirements are easy. You make one and receive one. The fabric postcard needs to measure 4 x 6 inches at the time of mailing. The front can be any design or amount of stitching that you wish to do. The back needs to be a light colored fabric like muslin so that you can easily see the address and information Or very heavy card stock. . Please write your partner a cheerful message. Make sure that you write the word postcard on the back. I use a permanent black pen to write on the back of the ones I send. You can mail these to someone in the USA with a 44 cent stamp. Internationally I would put it in an envelope. It usually costs about 98 cents to mail. You can put them in an envelope if you want to. I recommend sending them in envelopes. Sometimes the machines at the post office leave black ink on them. Send something you would like to receive. You must have a rating of 4.8 or better to participate. If you are a newbie please have a completed profile for me to read. I will then decide if you can participate. No flakers please. Open to international participants. You can find instructions on my website on how to make these. Go to the link above or to http://postypals.blogspot.com

Sounds like a cool idea but I'm wondering how do you get it stiff enough to withstand being send naked (written/stamped)?? Decopage it? Or do you place heavy cardstock/cardboard between the pieces of fabric and glue or stitch it together?

I was wondering when we get notified with the name of our partner?

drat, i missed the signup this month.

Kristen, I've stitched mine to cardstock, but some people sandwich cardstock between layers of fabric, and some people use really stiff interfacing in the center.
