Description:

For this you will have to buy 2 neat looking small, lightweight tin boxes or canisters from a thrift store (garage sales, good wills etc have a whole bunch!) and send one each to your two partners, with at least one or two small things also bought from a thrift store inside, and one handmade thing made by you for your partners based on their profiles. This can be dotee dolls, altered matchboxs, atcs, jewelry, basically anything handmade by you that you think your partners will like. The thriftstore items can also be semi profile based if possible, but ive found that thrift store finds are a matter of luck, not choice. Send good treasures. The tins should be pretty small, the smallest ones you can find that will still hold your items, and will be send as naked mail (put address directly on tin and tape it up!). This is international because each finished tin will probably only be 1-2 dollars, so we can spring for international shippin! 4.9- no recent 3s to join. newbies welcome.Have fun :]

Doesn't the packing tape leave a sticky, gluey, mess on the tin? How do you get that to come off once you have received it?

revolutionoise 11/12/2009 #

The point of the tin is receiving a cute little object in the mail that is not a mailer or a paper box that we usually get.. Im planning on reusing my tin for mail, but you can find a way to reuse it if you use chemicals to get the sticky off.

Watching!
if anything leaves a residue you can use Goo Gone or WD40 to get it off very easily.

mystmaiden 11/12/2009 #

orange essential oil should get the goo off, too
