I AM BACK AFTER AN EXTENDED BREAK AND AM WORKING ON UPDATING MY PROFILE

I have called Las Vegas home since 2001. I have been married 25 years to a wonderful man. He retired from the Navy and is happy here in Vegas. We have the most wonderful rescue dog, although I am not sure who saved who!!

I love to listen to Bag Pipes and Drums, and I love the old Ballad songs. Favorite artists would include Johnny Cash, Peter Paul and Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, Elvis and Three Irish Tenors.

I cross stitch, crochet, knit, and Tat. Tatting is my obsession at this time.

*Tatting was first developed in the 19th century from the old art of knotting. Tatting is a traditional handmade lace made of knots and loops. The thread is carried on a tatting shuttle, and knots are formed around the tatter's hand.
Tatting is gaining popularity today due to its beauty, simplicity, and portability.

Dark Chocolate, but since it is hot here most of the time chocolate in the mail has to be a winter thing only (one of the disadvantages of Las Vegas) ;-(

Tea of all kinds, drink it hot and cold sweet and unsweetened. I am looking for a new favorite.

I am doing Weight Watchers, but need to be much more diligent than I am.

Airplanes, I have been fascinated by airplanes, since I was very little. I can remember going to the airport to watch the planes take off and land. I am lucky to live her in Vegas, as I can see the Air force Thunderbirds practice, and I can go to the base and just look at the planes… what more can a girl want?

Books. Love reading, and love audio books (they make the drive so much better!) Let me know what you are reading now. I can always use another book to put on my list.

Bingo. I don’t play as much BINGO as I have, but love to go and play….and winning is a nice bonus.

Crocheting. I would love some simple patterns, or any tips that will help me out.

Dark Chocolate. The best of the best. I like really good chocolate, but I think that DOVE is pretty darn good, and not too expensive.

Eagle’s. The animal not the football team. I love eagles, and pictures of eagles, and what more can I say?

Friends. I am loyal to a fault.

Halloween. It is my favorite time of the year, it was my mothers favorite also. I mis my mom a lot but always miss her more at Halloween. I love to see all the neighbor kids. Here in Las Vegas when Halloween rolls around, it starts to cool off and the weather is just perfect.

Ice Cream. I don’t get to eat that much Ice Cream, but I love it. My all-time favorite it Rocky Road, 2nd Chocolate and Peanut butter

Jigsaw Puzzles. I love to do jigsaw puzzles, the only bad thing is after you do them you have to take them apart, or glue them, but how many can you glue and hang up??

Knitting. Simple patterns would be great. Maybe I could make some bookmarks one day.

Letter Sets. I have found some cute letter sets here, would love to get some more.

Mail. I love to get mail and to send mail…

Note cards. Love to get them, although if they are really cool, I hate to send them on.

Postcards. Can send many from Las Vegas. I am open to private swaps. Prefer them sent to me naked with a note.

Puzzles, Logic, Sudoku, Jigsaw, MAZES ROCK….

Queen. Some day I want to be a QUEEN. Not sure a Queen of what, but I want to be a Queen…

Rainbows. I think that Rainbows are wonderful. The look great and they are a great reminder of promises, and a simpler time in my life.

Squished pennies. Have many places to get them in Las Vegas. Love to get them and to trade them.

Tea. Love Tea hot, cold, iced, sweet, and unsweetened. The more unique the better for me.

Unicorns. Magical, Mythical, mysterious.

Vegas. I love Vegas and I love living in Vegas…

Weight Watchers. Have to love it! If you kinda, sorta work the Program, the Program kinda sorta works. If you REALLY work the Program, the Program REALLY works. (right now I am in the KINDA stage!)

Winnie the Pooh. I love Pooh, and anything related to Pooh.

XMRadio. I love to listen to the Radio Classics station. Love all the radio programs from the 40’s and 50’s. The Crime/Police ones are the best. Dragnet has to be one of my all time favorites.
