I have been seeing this a lot lately with swaps that I get.. A lot of people are not putting the swap name on the swaps. Please make sure you put the swap name somewhere! I join a lot of swaps here and I do not have the time to dig through to see what swap it is. Sometimes I can figure it out easily, but I join a lot of swaps of the same type (such as postcard swaps). If your username and swap name is nowhere on the swap, I cannot rate you and will not spend extra time trying to figure it out. Thank you!
IF you do not receive a swap from me, PLEASE contact me before rating. I always send out swaps ON TIME, unless otherwise communicated to my partner. Allow me the opportunity to resend it, because it probably got lost in the mail.
I reuse packaging
I mark swaps as 'sent' when I have dropped it in the mailbox, sometimes that may be on a Sunday or a holiday (in the USA no mail on Sundays or holidays) Or be on the deadline date of the swap (although I try very hard to send it a few days prior to that to avoid gray areas). That being said, my 'send date' and when the Post Office post marks it, may be different. Please refer to when Swap-Bot says I clicked send. Of course, I am human, so there may be the rare time that I forget to mark sent, I will send you a message communicating this.
I have my mail going to a post office box, which I check a few times a week, usually on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. These days are also when I do any mailings that have to be weighed.
PLEASE let me know before rating if you have received a swap with postage due. I am an online seller and I am pretty accurate with postage calculation, but of course, I am human. I would appreciate a message and an opportunity to make it right.
I really LOVE swapping here on Swap-Bot and I like to think that I am very laid back. This is a fun hobby that brings me joy. That being said, I am not a stickler for dates. I don't even look at the postmark on envelopes. However, that's not to say that you should not follow the swap deadlines set forth by the coordinator. Additionally, I appreciate a heads up if you are going to be legitamately late with a swap. I'm not here to stress people out and generally, if I receive it within the month of the swap, I will not rate down.
Now....on to the fun stuff!
My name is Desiree and I live in New Jersey, USA. I enjoy swapping and have been on Swap-Bot since 2009. I am always looking for new and long-term pen-pals, so if you are interested feel free to send me a message!
