I consider myself a domestic goddess first and a collage artist second (other than wife and mom). I also love photography and cross stitching. I'm a big fan of Facebook too. Been married 28 yrs to Brian and we have one son Sean, a May, 2009 graduate of PSU. Homestate-PA.
Folksy rock like James Taylor (seen 5 times over the years-favorite since I've been 13), Bonnie Raitt, Kenny Loggins. I have tons of musical favorites besides the above-Enya, Linda Eder, Dan Fogelberg, Jewel, Hall and Oates,The Fray, Duffy, etc., etc.! My husband and I saw Sir Paul McCartney on August 14, 2010-decided to go on a whim-it was the best concert ever-I almost lost it when he came out. I have a Soprano singing voice and have sung in school and church choirs over the years. I can read music and play a bit on a keyboard. I can play the harmonica a bit too.
Love paper collaging, especially ATCs. I've made over 800 of them in over 5 yrs. I like most kinds of crafts and will tackle anything!
Also do cross stitching-since I've been 19, so a while. I have sent at least 40 cross-stitched squares to a variety of orgs for sick kids who make quilts for the kids.
Photography-take photos almost everyday-mostly of my flowers and yard. My love for photo taking should be up near the top of my list. I have a Flickr account almost 13k images in it!
Will dabble in crochet, sewing and maybe try knitting again.
Love to do digital collaging and have made dozens of them for my desktop.
Still would love to write a children's book...just need to think of what.
Lots of layers! And...earthy stuff-nature related, vintage and retro ladies, gents and kids; fibers, flowers, fairies, sparkle from a little glitter or rhinestones, your signature look, etc. I also like to get cards made with a beeswax process or transparency-anything neat and different. Stuff I don't like: ATCs that don't look like any effort was put into making them-messy or too much of a 'thrown together' look. I do like original ideas-like a 'play on words' with the theme. I don't mind if you take a clipping from a magazine, but I don't want to see it as that, make it blend in well. Painting and drawing on ATCs are ok, not my favorite. I rarely do the above myself as I am not a professional artist in that respect.
About giving hearts for stuff you send. I will certainly give hearts if a little thought is put into what you send-even a decorated envelope! A snip from a local paper, a postage stamp, pretty magazine scraps, etc will get you a heart. I won't give a heart for blanks of paper as I have tons of blanks and to me, unless they are hand-painted, no effort. I also appreciate little notes that tell me how you came about making your card and who you are. They surely make your send more meaningful to me. And I do read what you like and will send you appropriate goodies if I have them. Thanks. : )

Hey, you peeked! :-) Can't wait to see the one you made. Michelle & Ashley
wow, have just had a peek at your blog - amazing, I feel so inspired now.
I see:) I don't know her. I was thinking it could be my sister, but it's not.
Really? Was her name Sandi? And I'm glad you liked my card. You are the first person to respond to a card I sent so I wasn't sure if they were good yet:)
Thanks for joining my first swap ~ Board Game Lover's ATC!
