Wow, DosLittleMonkeys, I guess I've never visited your profile! What you have about where you live is really interesting and funny. (although, frustrating, too, it seems, as far as post offices can go.) I have heard of Saipan...just have never known anyone from there.
Once, when I was sending a swap to Greece, the lady at the post office asked "which country would it be under?" I didn't know what to say except that Greece IS a country. O.o She didn't seem to be able to find it on her list, so she kept asking under what country would it be attached to (as if it were a possession.) I really don't know how it ended up except that I was able to mail the swap and my partner got it. My brain kind of stopped somewhere along the way because it was just so weird and Twilight-Zone-y. I guess she finally believed me or found it on her list...I can't really remember now.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I found your profile entertaining AND enlightening. :)
Hello. Thank you for the lovely message. :) It's slow going, but I'll build up a decent reputation eventually. Ground up, and all. I am shocked and fairly sad about that situation. Shocked about the double profile thing, and sad about her somewhat quick response about wanting to receive a replacement package. I doubled up the original amount of swap items and added some other goodies, and ended up with no acknowledgement or anything. Boo. Oh well.
I actually don't mind extreme weather, and I have been waiting 35 years to see a tornado. One finally shows up - and it's at night, when I can't see anything. LOL.
It is doing alright. Definitely going to welcome the break once I get that last swap done. I know I'll miss the place but pretty sure I'll smile much more. Lol. I hope all is well with you and that beautiful weather of yours.

hee hee! Maybe that was the way she was spelling it. That would explain everything! Well, she's retired now...so I guess I'll never know. :P

Have a fabulous week!
Wowsa, is that YOU on that elephant?! What a cool postcard, and how was that created/sent? Thanks for thinking of me. :)
Yes, it's hotter than blue blazes here. What's new. Texas + summer. When I have a hot flash, I feel like I'm on the surface of the sun.
I hope you got that internet connection fixed. SB isn't the same without you here.
Randomly dropping by to say Hi :))

Hi Julie, I hope you're having a wonderful Mother's day!
