I teach at a community college in Virginia, but I am originally from the west coast. I have a young daughter whose lust for life makes my life busy but fulfilling.

I love traveling and talking to people about their travels. My favorite city (worldwide, so far) is London, and my favorite U.S. city is Boston. My favorite country I've vacationed in is Thailand. The food is delicious, and the people were amazingly friendly.

Some of my favorite TV shows include Doctor Who, Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Supernatural, AKA Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Arrow.

Some of my favorite drinks are tea (black or green, not too big on herbal), milkshakes, horchata, and water.

I love sewing, but I consider myself a novice. I have made most of my daughter's Halloween costumes to date, because as she puts it, she wants to be "unique." (Oh, the pressure!)

I also like doing paper crafts, but again, I consider myself a novice. I wish I had someone sit me down to show me the many tricks of the trade, like dyeing paper, and other nifty tricks.

I enjoy knitting, and not to sound like a broken record, but I do indeed consider myself a novice, though I learned over a decade ago. I usually knit scarves, hats, or dishcloths.

Some of my favorite colors are usually variations of reds and purples.
