About Me

I'm married to the love of my life; we are both passionate about nature, gardening and preserving our environment. A serendipitous moment introduced me to a group of talented artists and I'm re-affirming my own artistic talents. I've discovered "Visual Journaling" and ATC's! Oh my gosh, how much fun!

Likes: Anything related to nature. Birds - especially hummingbirds. Wildflowers and native plants. I like to use greens, yellow, blues, pink, neutral and earth tones in my work. Sunsets! Walking along the beach collecting shells and other fun things. I can't seem to take a walk without bringing home an interesting rock or piece of wood.

Dislikes: Cutesy stuff. Dark humor, horror or evil related anything. Negative comments or attitudes. :)

Favorite Television

I prefer reading a good book.

Favorite Crafts

Gardening - a palette in itself! I enjoy drying/pressing my home-grown flowers for use in my art. Watercolor painting. Photographing my garden and nature. Creating collage... I love using beeswax. ATC's, Chunky pages, Visual journaling, altering books... :)

Favorite Books

I like uplifting and motivational. I also like mysteries... as in Elizabeth Peters; Laurie King; Lillian Jackson Braun. Various novels and non-fiction.

Have you read "Foolsgold" ? Wonderful passages about taking walks by the creek and collecting things for collage.
