Hi! My name is Jackie. I'm a mixed media artist, jewelry designer and all-round crafty woman. I love bright colors, cupcakes, Jack Russell Terriers, reading, polymer clay, and anything from the 1970's. I'm a librarian in Long Island, NY and I'm in graduate school working on my Master's in Library Science. Check out my links to see some of my creations. I've joined swap-bot with the intention of swapping ATC's in particular. When I design an ATC I put a LOT of thought into its color, composition, texture, etc. I don't slap them together in a matter of minutes. As a fellow ATC swapper, I truly hope you don't either.
TO HEART OR NOT TO HEART? Update 9/6/09: Thus far I have been giving hearts to swappers who have thrown in extras with their ATC's. Because I was a newbie, I thought this was correct practice. But after some consideration, I don't think I've been doing the right thing. From now on, I am giving hearts only to swappers whose ATC's show true workmanship and effort (extras or not). Please know, I'm not expecting anyone to be a fine artist! I would just like to see some effort into the ATC's I receive, because I put a lot of love and work into the ones I send out. Hope this makes sense.

Bright bold colors! Anything from 1970's or 80's pop culture. Old things. Asian-influenced themes. Polymer Clay. Fibers. Florals (especially vintage florals). Ephemera (old letters, postcards, stamps, etc). Birds. Books - especially old ones. Anything French. Secrets. Counter-culture. Rock-n-roll. Mexican-influenced themes. Jack Russell Terriers (mine is still planning total world dominance).
Generally, I'm not really into super-cutesy stuff (Disney, kittens, teddy bears, ducks with bonnets, etc.) but otherwise anything goes! I'm all for freedom of expression. If you're making an ATC for me, I'd rather you express yourself than try to make something you think I'd like. : )

Oh wow, I didn't even look yet! Pretty neat.
What are the odds Jackie that you would be sending to me a second time for this ATC Group. First fire and now Earth. Looking forward to what ever you send. Magicksprit51
