Comment: Thank you for the interesting chunk. I haven't been doing any crochet this summer. Been having trouble with my left hand. The thumb and first 2 fingers will lock up where I can't move them to hold the yarn so I have been doing other things that don't aggravate my hand.

Comment: Hi Jessica! I love this chunk! What is it from? Yep, I've made several zines this year and participated in Get Messy's Ama-Zine classes last month. Warmly, Ginger

Comment: Oh I loved receiving your solar paper prints! So unique! Do you go to a photo studio or do you do this in your home? The solar eclipse one is just phenomenal. Thank you so much!!
Response: I just do them at home! I have a laundry room with a large sink that I have set up as a dark room. I use the cyanotype printing kit from B&H on watercolor paper. I take my image and make it a negative, print on an injket-friendly transparency sheet, then use that on top of the prepped solar paper/cyanotype paper. I've found that a seven minute exposure seems to be a good place for most prints of this type. Also if you make lots of these, I bought a uv light so I can do them indoors and during any weather. I can share links/specifics if you're interested. Thanks again for the kind words on my contribution to your swap! :)

Comment: I really enjoyed your writeup and photos. I will have to google the boomer bile prop. My son and I once had a trackable race from Sweden to Yuma, AZ. His got lost in Germany. Mine arrived after 3 years at the mega event in Yuma. Yay! But y son was disapointed about his.
Response: Oh wow! That's quite a journey! I'm sorry one was lost - I was sad when ours stopped showing up in the tracking, but here's hoping they both turn up eventually! My hope is that someone stumbles upon it and looks it up and maybe becomes a new geocacher from it!

Comment: Hi Jess, what sweet recipes you sent. I enjoyed reading the history on each one and what made each recipe special to you. I am excited to try them!! Thank you so much. And how wonderful that you have your grandmother’s Rum Cake recipe in her hand writing, that is so special. I just lost my English grandmother and I wish I had her recipes in her handwriting. Comment: Jess, So glad to hear that you're almost done with you ES degree. If you'd like to talk more about it, feel free to PM me. Entomology, especially ants, are pretty awesome. I took a class with an ant researcher when I was in college. What's your black cat's name (it got covered by the post office cancellation). Best, Rick

Hi there! Please contact your partners from the old swaps that you have received 1s for and get those sorted out before joining new swaps. Those could easily be changed into 3s if you would re-send them. =)

Hi there,

I am cruising the profiles of those who have signed up for the Herbal Lore swap and I am curious, tell me not to be so nosey. . "Pariah" is an interesting choice of name for someone who has such a great profile. Here it means a social outcast, but you appear to have a wonderful personality, so maybe it means something different there.

Let me know how the needle felting goes as I have been meaning to try it, along with a zillion other crafts, so many, so little time.

I am on the lookout for one of those "creepy books that look something like a witch would write her spells in" too. The problem is my handwriting is so messy if I did write in it I wouldn't be able to read it. Cut and Paste is more my style.

Best wishes from the deep south, Kay in New Zealand
