About Me

---> I would love to swap with other laid back people and may start doing more private swaps, so if you'd like to swap privately please add me as a friend and message me! I love doing PC swaps, profile based goodie swaps, and thrift store swaps!

I adore POKEMON!!! I think they are super cute and collect anything Pokemon related; cards, plus he's, toys, assesories, ect. If you have access to any Pokemon stuff/find anything at thrift stores I would LOVE to do private swaps. If you collect cards message me and maybe we can trade as I'm always looking for homes for my duplicates! Pokemon items are the biggest thing on my wish list right now. I'm also looking for the original VHS Pokemon movies that are in good condition. Any other cute/kawaii items would be Very well loved

Themes for Postcards

Entomology, the study of insects. I'm particularly fond of wasps and ants, and bees (Order Hymenoptera), and anything with them as the subject matter would be much adored. Scientific prints of any kind are among my favorite things.

Anything by artists Charley Harper and Edward Gorey

Pokemon! I am a collector and I still adore Pokemon. They make a lot of PC's so it would make my day to receive any Pokemon PC's, particularly any bug, grass, ghost, dark, or psychic types.

Mid-Century design (architecture, furniture, attire, ect.) I also love cards featuring amazing architecture, regardless of time period.

I would love postcards from science museums and parks featuring nature or science subject matter.

Nature based cards, willow trees, carnivorous plants, mushrooms, ect.

Literature quotes, biology and chemistry references, and anything related to computer science as that is my husband's field.

Anything Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli! Everything they touch is gold!

Herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. Anything with snakes and salamanders on it would be very much appreciated. Especially ISO photograph PC's of leopard geckos.

I prefer my post cards naked and written on, unless we are swapping blank PC's to add some diversity to our collections ;) I am always open to private swaps!

Basically anything above or anything on my list of themes below will make me smile for days!

Items I Collect

I am a huge fan of mid century modern design and have decorated my house in the style. It has lead to my most recent collection of swung glass vases, which parlayed into an I nterest in vintage glassware in general.

We are also movie buffs and collect vintage horror movies on VHS and have a ton of horror goodies, we love them! We recently started collecting horror soundtracks on vinyl.

I am currently decorating my kitchen with vintage items from the 50s-70s. I collect Blue Cornflower Corningware, other Corningware, cast iron, and Pyrex (I particularly love turquoise and yellow pieces).

My husband and I also collect handmade and signed wooden bowls and pottery, and vintage Biology, Chemistry, mathmatics, and Computer Science Items/books.

Teas and Food

My favorite teas are white teas with florals or fruit flavors. I also love chai tea and teas with heavy spice! I drink black and green teas as well. The only flavors I'm not very fond of are heavy liquorice flavors and heavy vanilla flavors, but its fine if they are a component of the tea. I'm pretty easy to please as I love virtually all teas!

As for food, I am pretty adventurous. My favorite sweet is dark chocolate, particularly spicy varieties. I have no food allergies :)

Misc. Wishlist

STAMPS! Swapping, particularly over the holidays has become pretty pricey, even just for card and postcard swaps. If you feel so inclined, tossing in an unused stamp with a swap would mean so much to me!

Pokemon!! Any form or fashion of Pokemon, cards, stickers, postcards, ect! I love them and they bring back so many happy memories of childhood :D

Heavy duty/unique Magnets! I have run out of magnets to hang my favorite PC's on the fridge :( Any neat magnets that can hold up a PC will do :D

Anything I can use to be creative in my postcard swaps would be nice such as washi tape, gel pens, ink stamps and pads, stickers, Ect. especially Halloween or other holiday themed washi tapes.

Vintage recipes (particularly vegetable recipes) and recipe cards to write them on, or sent already written on the recipe cards.

Insects! I love insects and am currently getting very involved in Myrmecology, the study of ants. I currently have 3 colonies of various Pheidole species of ants. I would love anything insect themed that isn't too cartoonish though I love cute things so if it's cute, send it my way regardless :) I also collect preserved insects and would love to receive those as well.

Favorite Themes

I adore beautifully and unusually illustrated PCs, and anything odd or strange, or even a bit creepy.

Some of my favorite artists are Edward Gorey, Charley Harper, And Hayao Miyazaki, and anything from the Indigo Mini Postcard Line; I would love to have some of these!

  • Ants!

  • Busy Buzzing Bees, Bats, Birds, Bibliophilia PC's

  • Carnivorous Plants, Cacti, Charley Harper

Holiday Swaps

For Christmas cards I am pretty easy to please. I am fine with religious, but when it comes to religious cards, I love vintage religious the best. Vintage cards of any theme would be well loved! I am not very picky about subject matter and love all Christmas cards! I prefer the old style St. Nicholas (think Victorian), but I love the jolly man in red as well :D embossed cards, cut outs, glitter, unusual- these are all awesome!

I love vintage ornaments (look up shiny brite- so gorgeous!) and anything made with love. I am not craftsy myself but I appreciate the beauty people put into their creations!

Comment: I really didn't want to have to rate a 3, but a) The swap was mailed two days after the deadline, (which I honestly don't care that much about- if you had told me it would be late, I would've said "no problem"... and b) both of the washi tapes I pulled for a project ended up being shy of the minimum length for the swap...the only reason I noticed that was that I needed exactly 2', (the minimum amount specified for the swap) but they ended up being short by about 4". Otherwise, I liked the tapes you sent...I just can't rate a 5 though, sorry!
Response: I thought I had contacted you to give a heads up, but upon checking my messages I see you must have slipped through the cracks. This was my last swap on swap bot for a good while. In my case for the length, I looked up the average width of a playing cards and calculated how many times I needed to wrap it around the card instead of trying to measure the length of each tape. I'm afraid I must have made a math error and I apologize for that. I was also shorted a good deal on this swap and was debating on whether to rate a 3, which I have never done. I suppose it's only fair and will rate my partners accordingly. I am sorry the swap arrived late, I can only imagine that as this swap was due on a Sunday, I didn't put it in post until Monday and I must have missed the mail carrier pick up. However since that has been so long ago, I do not remember the circumstances for the late swap and apologize for my lack of communication.

Comment: Love the Halloween inspired tapes! The eyeballs were my favorite! I'm sorry I didn't see your questions when you posted them on the swap. WASHI tape is made from rice paper. The tapes will be softer, easier to tear and you will be able to place and remove the tape several times with limited issues. There are many tapes out there that are decorative, or "deco" tapes such as duct tape, scotch tape, masking tape, etc. These (except for most masking) are difficult to tear with your fingers. Once you handle a true WASHI tape (such as the ones you sent this round) you will be able to tell a difference. Hope this helps!
Response: No worries, I did a lot of Google research and figured out the difference :)

Comment: I am only rating down because of lateness. The swap was sent four days past deadline. Communicate with your partners if you are going to be late!!!!
Response: I was unexpectedly out of town with this swap came due and had a harder time completing it (hence the different kind of tape- I wasn't aware they weren't washi at the time). I thought I did message my partners in this swap, but after looking at my messages I see I didn't. I had a lot of personal issues going on at the time so it must have slipped my mind and I'm sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused you.
