Classical musician, mom, expat.

Just started working again after a 5 years break and I feel completelly overloaded, exhausted but useful and happy again.

I love classical music, ballet, koalas, sewing, travelling, languages, history.

Please, if you didn´t like something I sent to you, let me know, so I can do better next time. I won´t be offended if you say it nicely. I am new in this platform but have been exchanging letters and postcards for some years already in other places. But this rating thing makes me a bit confused, and the profiles are sometimes too long, I forget what I just read, when it is too much information.

I always send the postcards/envelopes 1 or 2 days after I get the addresses. German postal service is good, fast, but depending of where I am sending to, it can take several months. Please, contact me if it´s the deadline to rate me and you didn´t receive anything.

Some things that will always make me happy to receive:

• Touristic brochures from your city/region.

• Touristic postcards from your city/region.

• Illustrated postcards that represents your region (Like Lantern Press of 59 Parks style)

• Magazine cuts with traditional clothes from your country. Even better if it has folk patterns and the text is written in your language 😍. If it is an article, you can send me all. (I am not a fan of newspaper, I get nervous touching it).

• Used or mint stamps.

• Small magnet from your city/region.

But there are so many possibilities, I bet I had never imagined half of them! You don´t need to stick only to my preferences.

I adore japanese stationary and kawaii style! I have 3 penpals from Japan 😱. I also have a penpal in Belgium, Germany, Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Sri Lanka, England and USA. I have many postcardpals around the world.

I am slowly learning Italian (still learning German too- what a mess). If you are from Italy you can write me something simple in Italian. I think it is easy, I am a native Portuguese speaker. 😊

Or, more specific, baroque, classical and romantic era. I am fine between 1600 and 1900 + a few composers of the 20th century like Rachmaninov and Amy Beach (I am so in love for her music! I can´t stop hearing her piano quintet)

My favourite composer at the moment? Amy Beach, probably. My top 5 at the moment would also include: Brahms, Rachmaninov, Dvorak and Beethoven.

I like russian authors a lot, but I am not an expert of it. I really like Tolstoy and Pushkin. Anna Karenina and The Queen of Spades are probably my favourite stories.

I also like Goethe and Fernando Pessoa (poems). Ibsen and his dramas are also special for me.

I wish I could read more. My routine is too tight.

I watch less and less TV or series, movies... For me, life is too short to spend time watching stuff. I prefer learning something new or improving something I already know a bit. My job requires me a lot of time in practicing.

I like sewing bags. Not good on it yet, but happy to improve myself. I sew from coins purses to travel bags, those that fit as hand lugagge in an airplane. I like colorful fabrics. My bags are always "happy".

I am slowly learning using the brush pens. I still need a lot of practice.

I am not exactly good with paper, sometimes I try things but I am often unhappy with the result. I also think I am too slow with that and I have troubles with glue, what makes me impatient. Please, don´t expect super nice crafted envelopes and letters, postcards or whateaver. I am not this person.

I like decorating my postcards with washi tape and stickers. I like to match them with the stamps and when it is possible, with the front of the card. I usually spend a lot of time in each postcard and do it with my heart.

well, I saw many people have this topic, I decided to clarify it too.

Colors: Not a fan of grey, beige, brown, mud or army green. I like happy colors.

Animals: please, don´t send me something related to or mention insects. I am disgusted. Ladibugs and butterflies are ok, they are cute. I am scared of snakes.

What I dislike the most is receiving a postcard or something that was prepared without any care, just by obligation. I put my heart in everything I prepare to send to others, I would like to receive similar care. I think the best part of it all is making someone happy, even if we don´t know the person.
