My name is Kathy.
I'm retired from sales and marketing in the newspaper industry. Before newspapers, I was in sales for International health and beauty aids and pharmaceuticals.
I've been married for 43 years. We have 2 orange kitties that do not get along. They came to us a year apart.
I enjoy all things snail mail.... letter writing, postcrossing, greeting cards. I enjoy paper crafting. Love to visit art galleries and museums.
I spend lots of time researching family history and even joined some genealogical societies and attended some conventions.
Can spend hours browsing a book store or the stacks in a library or the book section in a thrift store or garage sale but I have a basement full of books I haven't read yet.
I find that my interests are ever evolving as I meet new people via pen pal and postcrossing sites and learn about all their interests. I usually continue to research and explore all the fun hobbies and crafts you tell me about.
Enjoy travel and in particular road trips to the southwestern United States visiting National Parks and Historic Sites. I have enjoyed some interesting train trips recently.
I like to take in a live play especially 'fringe theatre'. I enjoy a good production of Shakespeare.
The Eagles, Jazz and Broadway musicals.
Currently enjoy The Walking Dead and shows like Survivor, Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars. Love light murder mystery shows like Castle or Bones or Murdoch Mysteries etc. I'm all in when it comes to Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movies or the Hallmark Mysteries. I often watch low budget disaster movies on streaming services.
May 2024 to October 2024... looking for Australia related postcards that are blank.... koala, kangaroo, Sydney, Adelaide etc.
Rather fond of tea...especially chocolate orange but love to try new and different.
Always happy to receive stationery and postcards.... notecards, post its , stickers, washi and air mail stickers from your country. An unused postcard always welcome especially Lantern Press.
I also recently started to enjoy making ATC and ephemera for junk journals, so items like fun papers and scraps and die cutouts are also welcome.
Postcrossing meetup cards.
Mail art decorated envelopes.
Word or phrases stickers.
rubber stamps
Love Christmas all year.
Looking for washi tape, stickers, notecards and postcards that have bicycles, anchors, typewriters, fountain pens, envelopes, mail related and images of wine glasses and wine bottles.
PLEASE NOTE: SEEDS FROM OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY ARE NOT ALLOWED BY CANADA CUSTOMS EVEN IF THEY ARE FACTORY SEALED.
I do not sign up for something I cannot complete. I will not 'flake'. I will resend if necessary. Please contact me with any concerns. I realize the mail is truly snail like (and getting worse as time goes on) so I give plenty of time for the mail to get here. Hope you will do the same.

Hope you have a Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to you ππππ
Thanks so much for the birthday goodies! Such beautiful card and stickers. Much appreciated.
Thanks so much for the lovely letter in response to my Cut & Paste swap! I really enjoyed reading about your travels to my state. I agree--it is an amazing place! If you've never been to Jerome, or Bisbee, those are two other places I'd recommend next time you come. Opposite ends of the state, but both very cool little artsy towns. I am so jealous of your trip to NYC where you saw Branagh in Macbeth! I'm sure it was amazing! NYC is top of my list for places to go next. Hopefully we'll all be able to travel again soon.
More commentary arising from the Tabasco Hostel postcard: White Sands is one of the my favorite places! But sadly most of my relatives have left New Mexico so I won't have easy excuses to visit any more. And I'd never actually been to Las Vegas NM (unless I was super young and don't remember) although I had a roommate from there at a short workshop I attended in high school.
I've been to Windsor once as a tourist when we first moved to Michigan (my first time to Canada!) and I've run along the riverfront during the Detroit International Half Marathon. The crowds in Windsor are very supportive.
Thanks for the fun chatty postcard!
Thank you so much of the "resend"!!! The note card you used is beautiful, and the stamp on the envie, OH MY! I love it! Thank you as well for the little extras tucked inside! You are so appreciated!
Hi Kathy, just a note to say that #132 to you is on its wayπ left today, hey hey hey!
It was delightful to get a Christmas card from you! (I do the same thing, actually, about sending non-Swap mailπ.) So fun to hear about the 70βs. They were great times for me too! Hope we will swap again sometime! We have so many common interests! Thank you for replying - you are a super swapper!!!! Karen
