My name is Ashley, and I am Canadian by birth. I move to Alaska for my last couple years of school and ended up metting my husband. We lived in a tiny house for about 6 1/2 years before deciding to move to New Hampshire. I miss ravens and their cheeky antics. I miss large, wild and open spaces. I miss the quietness of nature. As much as I miss all the things that I have found wonderful about the north, I am trying to find things that make this state beautiful.

I have always love to read and consider myself a lifelong learner. I went to college to become a teacher but became self-employed when I realized I wanted to take a more hands-on and artistic approach to my life. I have been writing letters since I was seven, and have penpals all over the world. I love anything artistic including jewelry making, interior decorating, the elements of style, and many many more aspects. I am a little bit shy upon first acquaintance, But become much less so the more comfortable I feel around other people. I am fascinated by the metaphysical, and love to sit and ponder big questions. Rain storms, wind storms, the sound of water, and The open Sky above our heads are all beautiful and fascinating. I love to look up at the stars until I am too cold to stay outside any longer. I like to experience perspective.

Likes/ Loves: stationary and evelopes, colored pens, sea glass, prisms/ suncatchers, dream catchers, beads, crystals, sage, metaphysical stuff, anything lavender scented or flavored, stickers, interesting note cards (preferably blank inside---could also be handmade), Scentsy, essential oils, scented candles, cross stitch, unicorns, Alice in Wonderland, mermaids, Harry Potter (in Ravenclaw House---particular fan of Newt Sc., Luna Lovegood, Hermione, Neville Long Bottom, Remus Lupin, Tonks, and Regulus Black), ankle socks/ or fuzzy socks/ slippers (size 9.5), collecting people’s stories, journals, jewelry (earrings in particular), STICKERS, washi tape, letters, Lady Grey/ English Breakfast/Earl Grey/ herbal tea, coffee, biographies of writers and artists, historical related books, Disney classics, time travel/ real history, nerdy stuff and quirky things.

I like pretty or colorful earrings that are medium sized dangling or studs. I also wear necklaces-usually longer ones. I don't wear bracelets often.

Favorite Books: Petter Pan, Alice In Wonderland, Wind In The Willows, The Water Babies, Witch of Blackbird Pond, Narnia series, ANYTHING written by Aatha Christie, all of Jane Austen’s books, Animal Farm, various classics, poetry (Emily Dickenson, Edna St. Vincent Millay, May Sarton, etc.), etc., etc.

I also like anything natural/ green/ sustainable or pertaining to mindful living/ minimalism.

Dislikes: gluten (allergies), stuff for the sake of stuff (things without a use or purpose—with the exception of art), politics —————————————————————— I love the swapping experience and hope others enjoy swapping with me as well.
