04/19: I am sad to say that I will be discontinuing with swap bot. I have been rated poorly by bluesky without a chance to fix it. I had a brain injury 4 years ago and my memory is not very good. I also send out 25+ postcards a month. So I mistakenly sent her a duplicate postcard. The last postcard was sent in January....at which she sent me a message after I had already sent out the postcard to her that she wanted it sent to her daughter. So I did what I always do and sent her a second postcard! Yes, because happy mail is supposed to be just that. So for now, I will be taking a break from this platform even though it has brought me a lot of joy to have something to look forward to everyday.

IMPORTANT: (11/30) please note that Canada post has been on rotating strikes for over a month and has resulted in delayed mail in and out bound. They are now back to work but backlogs are expected for the next couple of months. I never flake on a swap so please send me a note that it’s missing before down rating me.

Hi everyone! My name is Nicki and I live on the west coast of Canada. I am 33 years old and married to my husband for 9 years and together for 14. I have no children but I have two fur babies, Janey and Izzy. Janey is the oldest, she is 6 years old and is 12 pounds of fluff. Izzy is 2 years old and is just a bit smaller than her sister. Both are half havanese half morkie.

I was in a car accident 3.5 years ago that has left me unable to work. I have several chronic illnesses that have made day to day life a bit more challenging. I have Fibro, Endo, Adenomyosis, PCS, NAFLD, IBS, Anxiety, Depression and recently Scleritis. I am working on living my life differently now and truly appreciate the small things. Any other spoonies out there wanting to do small swaps, please send me a pm!

I spend my days creating art. Since my accident I’ve found art to be very therapeutic. My true passion is card making but I’ve recently started doing acrylic paint pouring. I’ve even found a way to incorporate it into my card making.

I love penpals and exchanging happy mail! I started doing swaps about 4 years ago. I mostly started with pocket letters and flip books. More recently I have gotten into exchanging postcards.

My favorite color is pink or teal. I love all types of bright fun colors and tend to stay away from browns and blacks.

My husband and I love to travel. I feel blessed that I’ve been able to spend a lot of time throughout the US and Canada and have just started to explore Europe. Last year I was lucky to be able to spend two weeks in Switzerland. What a beautiful, clean and safe country. I was also able to go to Paris for 4 days, with a hotel room that faced the Eiffel Tower. I will be heading to London in less than two weeks and look forward to our Stonehenge inner circle excursion! I love to collect fridge magnets from all over the world.

Please don’t send me any tea, food, makeup or toiletry items. I have many allergies, mainly wheat and gluten. I have been 100% gluten free for 8 years! If a swap requires it please feel free not to send it. I will NOT downgrade for this.

Oh where to begin?! I have dabbled in many of crafts! I used to do a lot of crocheting but have found it really hard on my neck and shoulders now.

My passion is card making. I love Lawn Fawn, MFT, Neat and Tangled, Mama Elephant, and Purple Onion Stamps to just name a few. I love to create full scenes to put my cute critters in. I also enjoy dabbling in watercolor and other mediums to incorporate into card making.

I have recently started doing acrylic paint pouring and I am absolutely addicted. I love how the results are highly unpredictable yet beautiful.

Whenever my husband and I travel I take a travelers notebook with me and fill it with fun stories, pictures and paper cutouts I find along the way. My family really loves going back and reading about our adventures.

I am trying to get back into some small daily journaling. I would love anything that I could use in it, so flat is best.

I absolutely love love love stickers!!! I remember when I was in primary school I had an awesome sticker book and would bring it to school so I could trade!

I am pretty easy to please when it comes to stickers. My favourite types of stickers are puffy or vellum. I also love any type of kawaii stickers.

I am not a huge fan of country or state stickers. Please don’t send me any kid or teacher reward stickers as I have no use for them.

Here are a few of my favourite things!

Ephemera: I use the flat types of ephemera as I do mostly junk journaling. Anything too thick and my book explodes!

Postcards: I love all types, especially ones that make me laugh. I love when I receive a postcard and it tells me something about yourself or your day. I am currently building up my stash of different types of new postcards so I would love getting any you could part with!

Gardening: especially indoor tropicals. I am up to 68 indoor pots (I say pots because many have more than one plant per pot!)

Stickers: love me some stickers. Especially anything kawaii, unicorns, cactus / succulents, plants. Bonus points for puffy or vellum stickers!

Fridge magnets: I love city specific magnets of all types from around the world

Colored pens: a girl can never have too many jelly rolls!

Ephemera: I prefer thin items I can use in my junk journals.

Kawaii items: postcards, stickers, notecards, ephemera

Handmade: I absolutely love when someone takes the time to make me something. I know how much work goes into handmade items.
