I'm back! my first semester was a bear, but it is nice to be back to crfating, and swaping!
I am married and I am a mom to a beautiful little girl. I love video games, books and movies. I work full-time for an autobody shop. I have one cat Feisty a fluffy smart and fluffy kitty and one dog(Miso, a loving, sweet and cuddly lab/pitbull mix, who shares kisses w/ everyone...and thinks she is a BIG lap dog).
I love the Arctic Monkees, the Beatles, Reggie and the Full Effect, Nerf Herder, Frank Zappa, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Alkaline Trio, and numerous others. If it sounds good to me, it ends up in my collection!
I am a lover of words to be blunt. I read anything and everything that passes in front of my eyes. From repair estimates and nutrition labels to short stories and epic poems. I really enjoy fiction in every genre. Dante's Inferno, Purgatory, Paradise were some of my favorite classics, I really enjoyed the Iliad and the Odyssey as well. Lately with a baby on my hip i haven't had quite as much time to dedicate to reading so i have taken up young adult literature because i can breeze through it, like Harry Potter(Which i love) and Twilight (which i was a little let down with) and Un Lun Don(Youn adult) by the author of Perdido Street Station(sci-fi), both of which i would recommend to anyone. The Graveyard book by Neil Gaiman is another along with American Gods i would recommend as well!
Oh where to start. Reservoir Dogs, Boondock Saints, the Big Lebowski, Harry Potter, Star Wars(the original 3), Dogma, Mall Rats, Clerks, Clerks 2, Dawn of the Dead(original), Day of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Donnie Darko, Death to Smoochie, Patch Adams, Versus, Tale of Two Sisters, In July, Run Lola Run, i'll add more as i think of them. i have a wide range of favorite movies.
Dirty Jobs, Unwrapped, Good Eats, Mythbusters, Time Warp, How the Earth Was Made, Ace of Cakes, House, and the Ghost Lab. i dont watch much more t.v. than that, and honestly i miss most of those shows when they're on any how haha
I crochet and knit, and paint and airbrush, i like putting together model cars and airplanes, i love ceramics but just dont have the materials to do it anymore, nor the space. i like paper crafts and drawing, and some scrap booking. ooh and i am trying to learn how to spin too, my yarn is all lumpy though heehee. I also enjoy stained glass, and sewing clothing, and altering clothing. I also have just picked up quilting and am enjoying the change of craft scenery.
I collect an interesting range on odds and ends that drive my husband nutty. I have a thing for buttons, all buttons. all shapes and sizes. corks and bottlecaps are fun too, they make neat jewelry and if money is tight and i cant find one of my knitting needle tip protectors, a cork does a wonderful job. i collect old pictures and stamps and antique pottery. i love love love old sewing machines too, i have a singer touch and sew gold which is the newest addition to my collection, though i am hunting for stitch cams for it if anyone knows where i may find some!
I love giraffes, birds, frogs, penguins and butterflies. I love any and all flowers. My favorite color changes with my moods, but ultimate fall backs for me are cool colors like green and blue and purple. i have discovered a new love of oranges yellows and fuscia. i especially love orange paired with chocolate brown. or a light pink with lime green and grass green. I love wool and cotton yarns the most, but i have limited resources and sometimes have to settle with redheart from walmart, or whatever i can find at thrift stores and yard sales, and once in a while a treat for myself from etsy. i have a yarn addiction...Hello my name is Allie, and i am a yarn addict. I love to upcycle my old t-shirts into yarn, its good for kitting and crocheting rugs, and sturdy market bags. I live on coffe and chocolate, and sometimes popcorn.
I promise to rate as soon as I receive a package, or as soon as i can get to a computer. I promise to be a fair rater. I promise to understand that life can sometimes cause a delay in shipment, and that the post office loses packages. In those instances I promise to rate the package itself and not the time it took for it to get to me. I promise to PM/e-mail you when I am going to be late. I promise to check in and see if you have gotten your package if you haven't posted otherwise within a week of shipping nationally, 2 weeks internationally. I promise to re-send anything that wasn't received. Most of all I promise to be a fair swapper, and have fun!
