Rammi

I'm Ramon, mostly known as Rammi, due to the teasing I got while at school for having a boy's name. I am currently living on the outskirts of London, in a house where the boiler always seems to be broken. Pigeons seem to hate me. One even pooed on my head once. I cannot draw to save my life, so I worship whoever invented stick figures. I'm not too hot with art and craft things, either, although I do try. I write too much, knit, drink too many Innocent smoothies and eat too much Toblerone. Pleased to meet you. I love all colour. Although I believe in the theory that a certain colour can change your mood, e.g blue has a calming effect over me, but orange fills me with energy.

I'm not into RnB, hip-hop, rap, etc. I prefer to stay away from that sort of stuff. I find it irritating, and mostly demeaning to women. Alternative, rock and pop music is more my thing, and I listen to Liz Phair most of the time. Her music has helped me through some difficult times, and there always seems to be one of her songs that reflects exactly what I'm feeling. Imogen Heap, Alanis Morissette and The Bastard Fairies are my other favourites, and their songs always calm me down (well, Alanis Morissette's anger and screeching serves as a sort of opposite therapy for me). I miss the 90s. I will always remember it as a shiny, happy era and I will always mourn it. As a matter of fact, I used to love the Corrs shudders

I'm mostly a sucker for romantic comedies and still not-so-secretly love Disney movies. While You Were Sleeping is one of my favourite movies, and I've watched it so much that I know all the lines. I also love The Princess Bride. Why? You don't know why? Inconceivable! Forrest Gump has made me cry many times. Ditto the slightly crappy remake of Mighty Joe Young.

I cry at anything these days.

CSI, House, Ugly Betty, reruns of Friends, Waterloo Road. I'm a sucker for American comedies and sitcoms. Waterloo Road is about the only thing I watch these days that isn't from ze US of A.

Knitting is my main hobby, although there is a scarf languishing in my cupboard which I intended to finish 3 years ago. Oops. Can web design be counted as a craft? Nah, probably not. But I'm pretty nifty with Photoshop (nifty? I haven't said that in almost a decade!). I also occasionally make jewellery. I say occasionally because it happens once or twice a year, and they use up half my beads, pins and yarn. Yes, I use beads, pins and yarn to make my jewellery. Be very scared.

Murder mysteries, chick-lit, autobiographies... I'm basically a very nosy person who reads the last page of a book to find out the ending before I actually start reading the book.

I may be one or two days late on certain swaps - this is due to family commitments. I can currently only send out swaps Monday to Friday. Swaps ending on a Saturday will get sent out on Monday. I will get back on track ASAP. In the mean time, thank you for being patient with me.
