After being a wife for over 30 years and a mother to three children, I am now a widow with an empty nest. By profession, I am a high school maths teacher, teaching all levels of maths to 13 - 18 year olds.
I have been making things with a needle as long as I can remember. Scrunched balls of fabric as a 3 year old, teen doll clothes and fancywork as a teenager and dressmaking, knitting (jumpers, socks and lace) and cross stitch in my twenties to forties. Then I became a quilter. Recently, I have begun to expand my horizons by trying new techniques. I have been making fabric postcards and ATC's for about 3 years. Photos of my creations are here.
Bushwalking (hiking / hill walking / tramping - depending on which version of the English language you speak!) and photography.
Apart from bits and pieces for crafts, maps and track notes for bushwalking, I collect waterfall postcards.
Gore (blood and guts), sultry expressions.

Awesome, Ruth, and thank you so much for updating your profile information.
When I found this swap last night I couldn't resist joining it. I have already started my first two blue ATC's.
